Dueling Poets

Several of you know by now about myself, August, and Amerimov causing ruccus in message areas on poems. I will try to explain our actions using few metaphors, inside jokes, and cruel critisms.

I've probably been a poet for quite some time. And he has been too. Both of us being high schoolers (and warped teenage minds), we freuquently write and compare each other's pieces with constructive, duly-critisising comments. However, when we joined this website, we found that many comments are not only vague, but bold-faced lies! No message section contained a or brazing comment. It was this:
"This poem is brilliant. Keep up the good work."
    "My favorite poem ever!"
    "Congrats!"
We view this to be plain bull. In addition, it does not better the writers poetry directly AT ALL.

So for two days, we rampaged about this site, terrorizing the pessants, burning fields, and giving poems hainous comments. Whoops. I think the best of our intentions were to offset this distructive "anticritism". I don't belive they shinned through.

But now is the time to strike back! Or, if you're a nice person, strike forward! Amerimov and I have decided to hold weekly poetry contests, right here on the forums. We will place which poems we want entered and you can vote via viewing the poems and choosing between one and five, starting monday.

Come ye all, be ye haters or believers, and amend these terrible afflictions upon amatuer poetrie! We will write, and those of open minds are free to give us honest critism here!

Yeah, we'll be beginning the horrible battle on monday. And I intend to win. That hack who decided he'd start this here little thing is going to be going down. I will be victorious. That is, if any of you are actually paying attention to any of this.

Remember, vote for BOTH poems! The poem with the highest rating on Monday will be declared the winner.

For our two viewers (go you!) my poem for the week is something that i wrote this morning in French (the world's most boringest class ever) called "The Bloodied Men of the 51st". It's a thing about some war deserters who go and slaughter a village. I would post a URL but I'm lazy so search for it.
