Lately, I’ve been having these weird dream things and I don’t know what to think of them.

The first one is when I close my eyes I can see people – girls or boys and they are crying and then someone kills them or they kill themselves. And then like a few days or sometimes a week or month later I will see someone that looks just like the person in the dream and they will walk by me and I just want to shout out to them that they’re going to be killed or to give them help to not kill themselves; but I can’t. Because they’d think I was crazy. It’s tough knowing that they’re going to die and I could have stopped it but didn’t, and maybe they didn’t die – I don’t know. It just kills me knowing I can’t do anything about it.

Another one is whenever I am in the bath, I will close my eyes to try and relax and as soon as I close my eyes I can see this thing in my head and it’s this limp wrist hanging over the edge of a bathtub and then It’ll show a pale face as the water is all red and bloody and then the person will open their eyes, and it’s me.

They freak me out and I don’t know why I’m seeing these things – I have been for some time now but they don’t seem to be going away; they just keep getting worse. Can someone please tell me what they could mean or why I’m seeing these, I checked in a dream book a friend of my sisters has and she couldn’t find it. Anything would help.

I hnestly don't know what to tell you. That's creepy. I've never had that happen before, but my friend has weird things like that happen to her. It may mean something, or may not. It all depends i guess. Maybe it's a sign.

Just out of curiousity.. Are You on medication? Some medication can cause You to have disturbing dreams like these.. If You are maybe talk to your dr about what's going on and see if it's a side effect and get them changed.. If not I'm a bit stumped for advice.. sorry.. I hope things get better for You soon xx

I'm not on any medication. My Mom refuses to put me on medication, I have no clue why but she does.

hmmm The only other reason I can think of why You might be having these dreams, is You want to help everyone.. You reply to a lot of posts of people that are depressed and wanting to kill themselves or wanting to hurt themselves.. Maybe subconsciously your brain doesn't shut off from this while You are sleeping and it all gets blown out of proportion in your dreams.
I have no suggestions on how to stop these dreams.. I would recommend going to see your dr, but if your mum refuses to let you have medication there isn't much a dr could do.. Your mood can have an impact on your dreams too.. I know when I was really depressed I used to have some really messed up dreams, but they stopped when I started feeling better.. again that was through medication though :[
Sorry I couldn't be of any help xx

    Donna,

Thank you. That really helped me thinking about that. I have planned on going to see a Dr but I am not too sure yet. I really dislike doctors lol. But thanks for all your help Darling =]

    Jess,

Ily too! And to your question; I suppose in a way I am afraid of death and of people dying. It's weird. I don't wanna die but I know that it happens to everyone so I am not really afraid of it but having someone close to me dying or seeing someone die just scares the pooh outta me. It's like - I can be in a fist fight but can't stand watching them. I do not care if anything bad happens to me; just not to the people I love and care about. I dunno..But thank you so much for the help Dear! =]]

They are called intrusive thoughts. What you're doing is thinking these random things and then they appear as images benind the closed eye. They aren't real and they can'ty hurt you, as I say, they are images - just the way you think of someone and picture there face when you close your eyes. I guess you have an active imagination, yes?

I've been told I have an active imagination. It just freaks me out seeing that person a little bit later. But yeah that makes loads of sense. Thank you! =]]

I've found that the more you fear sleeping because of disturbing dreams, the more they will affect you when you eventually do sleep.

Part of it may be to accept that they are just dreams and can't harm you to remove some of the anxiety you may feel before sleeping, which could be causeing the tension that manifests as nightmares.

If I knew the answers it would be a fine thing, but unfortunately I don't. The best advice I can give is to make sure you feel you are going to sleep in a relaxed and safe environment, be a comfortable as possible ie, sleep with the lights on/off, door open/closed depending what you feel most comfortable with. Maybe you could try some relaxing herbal tea before going to be, Chamomile is supposed to be helpful with calming sleep.
Although it is hard try not to think about the dreams, because it will only make the memory of them more present in your mind, and therefor more likely to reccur.

Hope some of that helped a little

Thank you! That did help. I will try the tea thing before I go to bed. I already do yoga to calm me down before I go to bed but yeah I will try that as well. =]]]
