Is Abortion Wrong If You Have Been Raped??

Do you still think abortion is wrong if you have been raped especially if it is a family member? sorry if i offend

Personally, yes, I believe abortion is wrong under any circumstances... If someone in that situation feels that they can't keep the baby, then they could give it up for adoption.

I think abortion is wrong in all causes. If you destroy the life of a human being that never got a chance to say whether they wanted to live or not is cruel. Its unfair. If there are no medical conditions, then abortion shouldn't even be considered. If you have been raped and cannot, or do not want to take care of the child, put it up for adoption. Under no circumstances should you deny the life of a human being. [Thats just my beliefs.]

I think even if you have been raped, an abortion is wrong... its not the babies fault so you shouldnt kill it for what someone else has done to you. Adoption may be an answer if you dont want to have a baby that would remind you of that horrible event but you shouldnt kill a baby in spite of what someone else has done... thats just my opinion

Dang.... thats 6 "no" out of six. I on the other hand, think it's okay as long as it follows our laws (i.e. you can only have an abortion if it's 2-3 weeks old). Because who says that a fetus is human yet? And wouldn't ending its life there and then relieves the suffering of the innocent one if it is born into a world where no one wants it?

i agree with aken sol. but i have to mention one thing: if everyone was going to have babies left and right, then our world would be like.. chaos. let me explain:

1. we're already VERY heavily overpopulated. overpopulation results in famine, disease, wars, overcrowdedness, more pollution, not enough food... THE LIST GOES ON.

2. contributing to this over-population phenomenon would be THE PATH TO OUR OWN DESTRUCTION.

3. if abortions were illegal, that doesnt mean no abortions. that means abortions the ILLEGAL way... that usually means unsafe and unsanitary operation procedures and environment, more accident-prone procedures, and the spread of more disease, yet again.

4. A WOMANS BODY IS HER OWN BUSINESS!! WHY DO MEN GET TO DECIDE IF ABORTION SHOULD BE LEGAL OR NOT!! IF ANYTHING, MAKE VIAGRA ILLEGAL... IT TAKES TWO TO MAKE A BABY!!!

Well, it's the law in America and each state has it's own regulartions and all, but abortion is LEGAL. And there is a time limit because yes, i do believe it would be unfair to take away a human life unjustly. But that's WHY we have the time limit! To try and determine when the fetus is developed enough to be CONSIDERED a living human.
And by the way, what if the fetus is dead already inside her stomach? Would abortion be okay then?

if the baby is already dead, Aken, then I don't think it would be an abortion....so there is no right or wrong about it.

I think that it is wrong to get an abortion in any situation because why does the baby deserve to die for what the baby didnt do...It is the father that deserves to die not the baby!

I think its wrong too. I mean if someone was raped it's horrible, but don't blame a innocent baby.

the woman is not stuck with the baby..she can give it up for adoption if she doesn't want to keep it...

I agree that there should be a harsher penalty for rape..... my cruel solution is...no... I can't say it... my not so cruel solution is make him take something that would have the opposite effect of Viagra...

there was a forward i recieved a while back raising awareness bout abortion but it was extremely grahical. it had pictures of aborted babies, some as old as 6months old. it was sickening because i believe aborted babies should not be put on display its creul and inhumane. but the problem with aborting babies around 2-3 weeks old aken sol, is that lots of woman arent aware that they are pregnant yet at that stage.....yehh just thought id share that

I know most women aren't aware during the first three weeks. But that was my answer for if the were raped. I mean, if you've been violated in that way, wouldn't you go out to a doctor and check if you were pregnant or not?

I think yes no matter what.. abortion is wrong.. because you have human being living inside you and besides theres always adoption.. even the first month of pregnacy there is a baby bye three months the baby already has ten fingers and ten toes now abortion doctors say that that is just tissue but please... fingers and toes are not just tissue they are human beings.

ths is inrelevant but i was watching the presidental debate ths afternoon and one lady asked bout abortion and george bush said that everybody should have a chanceat life when adked if he would give peoples tax's to pay forabortion or something...not sure if im quite correct there

I reckon abortion isn't wrong if they've been raped, because there was no choice when concieving. Anyway, they can still have the child and have it adopted, can't they? If they had a choice about sex then it is murder without question, in my opinion. That's just what this is though isn't it? It's basically controversial opinions...

Personally, I'm not against abortion at all if it's for the child's own good.
For instance, if a 14 year old girl gets raped, do you really think she should give birth to that child? She can't take care of it, because she hasn't even learned how to take care of herself. She's still just a kid. And if she decides to give it away to someone, sooner or later, the child will try to find its mother. So, think about it, would you like growing up thinking "I was born because my mother was raped by my father"?

I do I read a book on a baby that survived an abortion and.. the person who wrote the book was the person that survived form abortion... she had saline abortion, if you want to read the book go ahead it is called Giana.. it iis a good book and maybe when you read the book you'll change your mind.

i do think abortion is wrong but it is the mother's choice. One of my old friends was raped last year and she got pregnant. she knew what would happen if she kept the child, but she also thought abortion was wrong on so many levels. i made a poem about her, its called Fifteen and Pregnant if you want to read it. and right now Jacob Alexander (that's the baby's name) is doing very well. and he is so adorable!!!!

so in conclusion, i do think abortion is wrong because the child could change or make an impact in this world but how would you know if you get rid of him/her?

GOD POEPLE! WHY ARE YOU ALL SAYING THAT IT IS ALWAYS THE WOMEN'S CHOICE ETC....BECAUSE IT ISNT! For example, right outside abortion clinics there are people shouting MURDERER and stuff. Also, did it ever occur to you that people do have sex for PLEASURE??? BEcuase sometimes the birth control doesn't work or something. So yeah, maybe abstinence is the best birth control, but SO WHAT?
If you are saying that abortion is wrong because it's ruining someone's life, well, if the woman in quesition is 15 years old or soemthing, maybe having the baby will ruin HER life! So what if she can put the baby up for adoption? She will have to go to school PREGNANT!
Just think about it. You can't really kill something that can't even think for itself...

Accused? Accused of what? There is nothing that the baby can be accused of since the baby doesn't even live, hasn't done anything. Having the baby can sometimes be even worse...
