    Hi
My best friends name is zach, i love him to death and could not live without him. But something is different about zach, something is wrong. He hears things, and sees things. He goes from great days to horrible days. It's like he's too smart for his own good, because he knows things, but he can't explain. If you knew zach you'd understand that this isn't one big joke. Lately it's been alot worse, he's been blacking out and not knowing whats happening. Sound anything like the Butterfly Effect? Yeah...i thought so too. I just have no idea what to do, i love him and want to help, but how?

I'm not a doctor but I'd say hes got a medical condition... if you search http://www.google.com and look for a site to look at whats wrong with him. If you find out talk to him about it.

Hi. May be he's never had a head injury but its possible that Zach has a form of epilepsy. There are different 'types' not all suffers have seizures(fits) and in the UK up to 1500 people daily develope the condition for no reason. (idopathic)
Its rare for someone to have auditary hallucinations & visual ones-usually 1 or the other. Except in cases of drug abuse. In psychosis hearing things is the most frequent. Tell him that he's not going mad, & a trip to the Dr & an EEG to look at his brain waves would really help deterime the cause- you have to eliminate things 1 by 1.

How old is Zach? Schizophrenia usually has its onset in the late teens or eary 20's. However if the person has taken cannabis there is a chance of 'cannabis psychosis' which minics schizophrenia. Do you feel that generally Zach is emotionally detached from you? Whats this "butterfly effect" you talk about?

Zachs, 15, he'll be 16 in Feb. The butterfly effect is a movie. It's pretty good. So far the talk of epilepsy is what makes the most sense, it seems the most accurate.I don't think zach is emotionally detached from me, but to everyone else his is, very much so. And he has never has a head injury...so that ones out.
