    The weirdest thing that inspired me...would have to be my finger nails...because they're painted black with two red streaks on each one...reminded me of a butterfly..which is how I wrote one of my poems...:\...

    Thanks Keri! I guess just being weird and bizzare
    i am easily amused at watching people-if you ever
    feel insecure, just go to the mall, and watch people
    how they behave, and its even more amazing, is
    the things people do and think no one is looking!
    e.g. saw a lady chase a runaway shopping cart that
    wasn't hers, and it hit this pick-up, guy gets out,
    and is pissed-she tries to explain it wasn't her cart!
    I coughed out loud "yeah right!"-as i was only 4
    cars away-i saw the whole thing unfold-i thought
    it was something out of "funniest videos" so i
    took back seat to the show-they turned to look
    at me-and i did a "lookaway whistle bit"-you know.

    I tripped and fell and smacked my head on the couch and BOOM, had an idea to write. Didn't feel too good either -.-;

    Yeah, but worst part is that the idea I got had nothing to do whatsoever with falling or pain o.O;;

    Thinking of ideas to write a poem... gave me the idea to write a poem about writing poems (not yet posted, will be in a day or so)

    the wirdest insperation i ever got to write a poem was a milk container. I wrote a poem called the thief based upon it, only i made it into a ghostly poem :)

    I just have to say that's quite cool, Jacki. :)

    As to my wierdest inspiration, I would have to say an online game. (Which pales in comparison to a milk container... ok, maybe the milk was more pale, but still....) ;)

    um i have this crystal dragonfly that i got for my birthday off my best friend that flashes all these pretty different colours when you turn it on, and that inspired me to write a poem..
    another weird thing that inspired me to write a poem was this guy at school, who was trying to grow a goatee or something but only managed to grow some *ahem* bumfluff on his chin lol..

    That doesn't actually surprise me... olfaction is a powerful memory-trigger, so why not a powerful catalyst of inspiration? ;)

    Wow pretty wierd inspirations you lot have had?!

    I guess that just about makes me really boring seeing as the most interesting inspiration I have had was a puppet show (and turning it into life) but that hasn't been (and may never be) finished yet.

    I have to add to my earlier response. I recently wrote a poem inspired by a rather short-sighted (IMHO) comment someone made on this site in a different thread.

    No purses in the comment in question, though in a roundabout manner there may have been mothers.

    Wow... that's an incredible inspiration, JustPlainMe! My condiments--I mean compliments!!--to you. ;)

    (Seriously, though... sorry you broke things.)

    Erm, JustPlainMe, I think you would make a hilarious drunk. Sorry about your ribs.

    Most of the time I'm inspired, the inspiration is weird. I think a lot of the best inspiration you can get will be weird. "My Bone Wife" was inspired by a book about a psycho killer who was building a sculpture out of fairy bones. (Uh, suprise - not.) Loads of the stuff I havent postecd yet was inpired by weird stuff i.e. my black army boots, random TV commercials, bustops in winter, Britney Spears (urgh...). Soon I'll post this poem on here called "Unspilt".... strangely inspired by a glass of milk.

    Can't top a jar of peanut butter or the hotdog-and-mustard bath inspirations, though.

    Well, that is all way too funny. But the weirdest thing that inspired me to write a poem was bubble gum. lol I ended up asking a friend of mine to help me out with writing the poem and when we had finished it sounded alot like doctor suise and it also sounded very very gross. We were talking about how many odd places you can get bubblegum on yourself.

    writers block was the weirdest thing that had ever enspired me... I was suffering from writers block and all of a sudden I just rested me pen and a poem came out
