Wanting more than friendship...

Hey everyone im really confused because i really like my best friend and i have for a while...at one stage i told him but nothing happened...now were closer than we were then, except he has a girlfriend...i wish i could just like him as a friend and thats all but im finding it hard...does anyone have any advice on what to do?!? should i just wait it out???

My good friend is/was in the exact same situation....she believed she is/was in love with her friend but he is in love with another girl and has made it 'pretty' clear that more than friendship would be doubtful between them....she believed she loved him so much that when i was on the phone with her she broke out into tears-anyways after a long chat with him they have agreed to put a bit of space between eachother, they still have chats and meet up but not as much as they used....this has only been happening for a week but there i feel as if it is working with her____ You can wait but waiting includes time and time is very precious, so please just enjoy life, and wait for fate to bring you together with either your friend or the person of your dreams :) I prey for happy days and years to come, for you *hugZ*

the more u wait the more it hurts...i like my best friend too i got to say...but i guess being friends is all he want to do...i think u should just move on!

That happened to me last year . Me and him loved each other a lot though, but we were never able to get together because of the age different . When I still felt something for him, I thought it had disappeared, but it came back when he told me he got a girlfriend . We were and still are the best`est friends though .
At that time, I thought that real love was wanting that person to find happiness, even if it wasn`t with you .
It happens, but yu`ll find someone soon that yu`ll love even more than yu do this friend, and he`ll love yu back . (:
