Please Help..

Okay, so i have this friend, and he has had a really rough time these past few years, and to try and solve this problem he has resulted to takeing drugs and cutting himself, he has been in hospital a few times because of the cuts tht he made. the thing he was mainly upset about was loosing his girfriend, she split wirth him for thinking that he was haveing an afair, the only thing was, that she was wrong. he tried to get her back, but she wouldnt have it, and started being very nasty. because of this he grew even more upset, and the last time i spoke to him was like 4 days ago, and normally i speak to him everyday.. his phone is switched off, and he is not replying to my emails.. i cant go see him as he moved and ives too far away, he is in LEEDS im in LONDON... i dont know what to do.. im so worried :( any advise??
