Now, I could not tell you what a nihilist is, I'll be honest, but I am close enough to Atheist to understand. I am Agnostic ... but, I lean more towards there being no God.
Quite honestly, I would be interested to hear your view on religion. You seem like a very intelligent person.

Art, however, is a time burner, but is also a gift you should cherish. Learn to love what you were born with.
And, if I read correctly desiring to be useful...and discarding it by 'interconnecting drainpipes of slapstick poetry and selfish philosophy'...Thusly becoming like everyone else, why would you do that? Why would you like to be a simpleton where you understand and ponder nothing all day? I love the fact that I have the ability to think farther as aothers. As should you.

You're a confusing one. But, if your interests match your capabilities, then what worry is there? As long as you are -capable- to make yourself happy, why aren't you? Just because you do not say, have the skills to write, but it is your interest, you should continue to write and go on about your life. You cannot be perfect at everything. Someone is always going to beat you. Which then leads you to realize someone -has- to be th best...and who it is. But, this is not the point.
Be happy with what you have, skills and capabilities. Use your skill to help society (i.e: your job) and use your capabilities to please yourself.

Now, does this make any sense, or answer anything? It is earlier here so I'm not sure if I was just rambling... I'll probably get 'bashed' for this post, but I tried.

i create my own religeon as i go along. i question everything and am very skeptical. i used to consider myself an athiest but then i found the preconceptions of the word didn't agree with what i bellieved. though often when people ask me what religeon i am i still reply athiest as it is the closest formal answer i can give them. but i do believe in something. i believe in my self. i am the god to my reality. my own savior and destroyer.

the other problem is that i've been pondering this question since i was twelve and i have studied every religeon i could find from paganism to budhism. and i couldn't find one that felt right. so i made my own. and i consider it the only living religeon as it changes. everything that lives changes perfection is only found in death.

anyway if you want to read some very interesting stuff on religeon then look for " the tao teh king" by aleister crowley( i know he was called the beast and evil etc but i tell you to read his works before judging him. he was a genious and very moral in his own way) or in fact anything else from him. especially his confessions or the book of the law.

and you want to know why you should achieve happiness. well there is no reason as happiness < sadness ,love, depression are all illusions. theyre the playthings of us gods. to be used by us as we will and when we will. theyre are a magick that only exists within our minds and therefore subject to our whim,( though to most people they are there chains that bind them to there sorrows. the idiots)
