I was sad, confused. i didnt want to cut again. i told him i feel like puking when i look at the scars. that it hurts me so much. He just looked up at me. tears in his eyes and said "what if i were to kiss every one of your scars"

this happened a few days ago, when i realized that my best friend loved me

What are we supposed to say...thats sweet? How romantic...a love story based on the power of self mutlation bringing together two souls destined for one another....?

I dunno what you expect to hear??

It is very sweet, but 'love' is such a strong word. And, if you 'loved' one another, you wouldn't be cutting, because your 'love' wouldn't let you if they 'loved' you. Does that make sense?

this should be extra motivation for you to stop cutting. he loves you regardless, but you should want to be a better person for him!!

i think that you have an amazing friend, and to cherish what relationship you have. it should mean something that he loves you without your cutting yourself (which should be an incentive to STOP)... and from what he said, that was really nice of him to say that:)

That's nice I guess, although I personally don't see anything to do with harming yourself as 'romantic'. Maybe I'm weird.
