How many lines would you say a stanza consists of? |

As far as the length of a stanza, as sluv said, there no set standard, but I'd expand upon that and say there no set maximum standard, but at least two line (a couplet) is the excepted minumum, but above that, a stanza, if it works, can be of any length 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 lines or more anywhere between 2 and as many lines that work for your poem!!! |

I personnaly find that a Stanza works best in an even number of lines especially if you are writing a rhyming poem |

normally I write each stanza with four lines but I am trying to mix it up and add a bunch of lines |

usually i have 4 lines but sometimes 2 ... and mee too.. im trying to mix things up a lil with my poems as well |
