    For EOP then...

    Thou Wilt

    The leaves of a tree,
    in Autumn I see,
    are ever so slowly dying.

    Their colour is changed,
    I'm sure they feel pain,
    yet their beauty in death
    starts me crying.

    Amid the graveyard rustle
    of their fallen friends,
    I choke,
    and think of you again.

    You drank in sorrow
    to no tomorrow,
    as I watched your face
    like seasons change,
until it came to Winters pain.

    Fallen Defences [Haiku]

    Petals gently fall
    Flowers left without defense
    Foes prey on weak hearts

    Woot Go EOP!

    Wilting
    The Flower Dies
    Silently
    The Petals Fall

    She's been broken.
    She's been Torn in two.

    Once, the flower grew
    Shades of every color-
    Swirling within the petals.

    Her sould blossemed,
    She Was Alive.

Then the rain, the storm Rose
Her delicate petals could never withstand
The pouring rain, the hail, then the fire.

    She's broken down
    Because of him.

    He tormented, abandoned,
Left her out in the cold.
    First he lied to her.
    Said he'd never hurt her.

    Then he pushed her,
    on that Cold December night,
    Took it too far.

    Then she crumbled..
    Because of him she crumbled.

    And now the flower's wilted.
    No longer a beaty.
    The colors have faded.
    She's gone.

Hope you like it, ive found myself writing alot of poems about this topic.

    EOP

"Revealed and Yet Soon to Perish"

    It is now the flare
    before the final falling—
    day’s bright exodus.

    The world glows scarlet
    with the sullen, seething pride
    of dying embers.

    One last fiery throb—
a heartbeat from a red sun
    as the light expires.

*The title refers to a quote taken from Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own."

    For POET

My bones, like the frozen spheres
of winter. Chatter against the empty
hollowness of the bleak color white.
Though some may find love within
the barren trees and dangling ice,
    I find nothing but sorrow--
In a portrait where the sun is dull
and colors are erased to portray
    a winterland scene.

The birds fade away as I still wait
    every morning for their song
    Locked up inside a cubicle
    far away from the chills
    that continually...prick my spine
While the sky whithers behind grey clouds
Dear winter, shine, shine upon my vacant
soul, save me for it has flown away along
with robins and jays seeking summer again

sup buddies, really? most of the POETs are from Australia. hehehe, me too, but im and EOP, hehehe, and now its my turn to bring something to the table, a shakespearean sonnet...

    Winter's Last Rose

Torrential teardrops fell from darkened skies,
    his wailing, mournful, caressing lament.
Then washed from clouded, grey and loving eyes,
a good-bye no one dared to circumvent.

So softly curled her lips round aching heart,
and teetering she rose above the heights,
as winter's chill embraced, yet rent apart
her fragile kiss and sent her flesh to flight.

The raging wind called insult, curse, and sin,
its lies the final ravaging defeat.
And as the blooming color fled her skin,
she knew her life, when lived, was bitter sweet.

As petals fell she almost could forget -
beneath her falling corpse, new seeds still slept.

woot woot, i like this one, if neone wants to rate, heheh, u know where to go...cheers every one

    For EOP

    Battle Scars
    By: Twisted Heart

We were few, who fought the war of winter
We stood strong as the battle lines were drawn
We faced our adversaries that had met us
Upon the song of Autumn's golden lawn.

We were few, our number less than many
Progress had shrank our friends in lesser times
But the battle might reduce what was coming
So we held ourselves with dignity and pride.

We were few, when the winter came upon us
Breaking branches with it's hungry hands of ice
Hollow frost began to freeze our humbled spirits
As our wooden limbs were scattered in the night..

We were few, and alas, the battle ended
Winter's breath was now blanketing our hearts
Leaving nothing, but the hands of winter
And the touch of cold upon our battle scars.

from EOP- The Rustle Of Dying Dreams

    Scarlet and gold
    Falling gently without a sound
    Stepped on ,crushed
    Left lying on the ground

    Hearing the rustling
    Of dying dreams
    Kicked around and scattered
    Lying among the broken things

    Feeling the chill
As the winter winds blow by
    Crimson turning to brown
    Left alone to die

Only a whisper of a gentle spring
Can still be heard in the falling rain
Just a memory disintegrating in snow
Lost into forever, on the northern wind it goes

An angel reaches out and gathers the pieces
And with a tear she says a prayer
    On the saddened earth below
    A stillness fills the air……….

    Colors

When all look at the sunset do they close their eyes
because there are too many colors?
All shades of reds, pinks, blues, whites, and golds are admired,
taken in all together to feel its entire beauty,
seen in awe until the last painted cloud is gone.
The final present in a day from a fading sun.

And when the black of night sets in,
the moon seems to shine a hollow white.
The clear clouds roll by, at times creating a green haze around our moon.
    Do the stars in the heavens refuse to sparkle because of the blackness of the sky;
does the brightness of the day ignore the words said by the darkness of his brother night?
Does the sun despise the moon for the borrowing of light?
