doggie names

i'm getting a yorkie(sp?) soon, and i have no idea what to name it! it's going to be a boy...any suggestions??

my mom wants eddie but my dad doesn't because that's his dads name.
i like fabio but my mom doesn't want that name.

Aww I think that Fabio is a cute name for a Yorkie. I have a collie named Bogey (like in golf) When I got him it was the weekend of the master's golf tournament. Oh yeah about the names for you I think that you need to get to know his personality a little bit before you name him. Like I can't imagine calling my dog anything else other than Bogey and that name fits his personality. My friend has a dog named Nothin'. (random) Well good luck with the names!

idk...i have a yorkie but she's a girl...her name's heidie...i also have 2 other dogs named cheyenne(sp? lol i don't even know how to spell my dog's name!) and buddy...

just call out random names and whatever he comes to that's what you should call him...

well, my dogs name is Mercedes (she is a cute little boxer!) and my meme and papa's dogs name is Behr, and there old dogs name was Dioji (pronounced D-O-G) oh and other names i just thought of.......

and my personal fav. Canis (short for Canis Major, my aunt and uncles dog).

i just thought of another............ if he is a darker colored yorkie, name him Whitey

oh and another good way to name a dog is take the initials of all the members of your family to create a name Ex. my family would be April, Mark, Andrew, and me Elizabeth, or Liz, so ours could be like Leam, or........i dunno. but its a creative way to do it. oh or like i just said with the whole Whitey thing its funny to do the opposite of your dogs personality, color, or size. like Spaz for a really mellow dog. (it would be cruel to name a dog Spaz in my opinion).

You could always just name it dog!!! rotfl!! ^_^ JK!

which one or guess lol have fun with those ones especially if you have one dog and someone asks the name you go which one they point and say tht one and you say which one and with guess they ask his name and you say guess and they ask again cuz they cnt guess and then tell them

i have seven dogs... most gurls but named:

Chui (chewy), Sara, Penelope, Zoey, Pandora, Graycey, and Yuushi (you-she)

Yuushi is the boy.

you could also go through baby name books and find one that fits!!! or name him Lady. my friend accidentally named her male cat Lady and her female cat Guy!!!!

I think you should call it, sam or duke, or WIGGLESWORTH, lol, i went to the pound yesterday and one of the dogs didnt have a name tag on he door, so i called him mr wigglesworth, lol

Spaz.

My dogs name was Teddy, but idk u could call him, Peanut since he'd be small, Hunter, or my mom's friends yorkie is called Hodgey

Personally, I love the name Noah. I think it's beautiful. I'm not sure it would fit a Yorkie though.

I would base it off of how the dog looks. Some names just pop right into your head. Also, I would shoot for a short name (or be able to give it a nickname) something easy to call it by.

Artemis or Loki.

Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt and Loki is the Norse god of mischief.

I know a dog named Credit. I love him :D. You might like that name, but a couple others are... hmm... I agree with TPAM. Artemis is a good name :D!!

I was just reading through these, and I got so excited to see that somebody else liked the name Gus!.... And then I realized it was me, several months back. Heh. :)

My puppys name is shiloh, and its a baby beagle

and my uncle has a baby yorkie and named it toto (like the one from the wizard of oz haha)- its adorable! haha
