Personally, I post just what I like. I have a lot of poetry that I feel needs tweeking. When I work the kinks out of a poem and I'm satisfied with how it came out, then I post it.

I put everything I write. In my opinion you should be proud of everything you write...and some of the greatest poems were written in 15 minutes. Some people can write poems faster than others. Most of mine take no moret han 30 minutes and I write in structured forms. A poem should just flow out...it shouldn't be forced onto the paper.

I do, however, have maybe three poems I'm not posting yet because they need revising...

But, yeah, I hope that made sense.

I post all my poems that I have written since coming to this site, but am more choosey about what I write in them these days.. Most of my poems in the past were really depressing [Those are locked away] I still post sad poems but they are not anything like the ones I used to write.

I post most of my poems unless i feel that they arent good enough and would be a waste of time for people to read them.
however all my recent poems have been posted, but i havent posted most of my first poems because i dont think anyone would enjoy reading them and also they may not make any sense to people who didnt know the situation.

I only put poems on the site that I think are almost considered good (I don't like my poems much). The rest are hidden, burned, or in the trash :D. I'm very picking when it comes to showing people my work.

I 100% Agree, Pick your words out carefully, And keep at your poem untill it's the way u want it and then post it,
I've always been very carefull bout what I post cause I've always been paranoid bout what people will think and the message that it will send out,

Nope... I do not post all the poems I wrote... I do not post my favourite poems... So, I choose the poems which I like but not my favourites... :)

I started out just posting some that had been published in the literary magazines and some that I thought were my better pieces. Then I got some favorable comments on a couple I didn't think were that great, so I threw on some older ones and ones that I thought weren't that good (I'm my own worst critic-never truly happy with a piece-well, a couple exceptions). To my surprise I got a lot of favorable comments/high votes on poems I thought were really terrible or not up to par--more than I got on the ones that had been published in the 'zines! It just depends on the audience. Actually, I was putting a 'best of' collection together for a publisher and wanted to see which poems got the best response, so I've posted probably 80% of my work for that reason.
