Hey i dont know what to call this poem, i need help with a title.

I don't know why i have these questions
Don't know why this is crossin my mind
I guess my eyes are shut
Because how could i be so blind

    I know all the stories
But i just don't know if they are true
God, I've been told about your power
All this must be a stage I'm going through

I'm normally not one to doubt
I listen to what others have said
    But it doesn't make sense
Not even what i have read

    I've searched you word
    And spent hours in prayer
But i haven't found the answers
And to ask someone i don't even dare

I don't know why i am thinking these things
The answers are probably right before my eyes
    As bold as can be
But they are hard to see though all the lies

There are so many versions of the same story
    So many "truths" are told
Don't know which one to believe
Or to which one to be sold

God, help me see the truth
let me know what is true
    Because if hell really exist
Then heavens where i want to spend eternity with you.

    Please help.

Title could for example be: Blind Faith

Blind faith is good...but kinda predictable..like you'd know exactly what the poem was about before you'd read it eh?

    em...how about...

    Criss Cross

    ‘Purgatory’

Um…maybe ‘Purgatory’ could be an apt title because of the theme of Christian religion, firstly, and because Purgatory is ‘the place in which the souls remain until they have expiated their sins before they go to heaven ‘. In the poem there are a lot of questions and the speaker appears to be second guessing themselves and their worth, their purity. They do not appear to know who to place their trust in:

‘I'm normally not one to doubt
I listen to what others have said
    But it doesn't make sense
Not even what i have read’

It is as though the speaker is attempting to determine where their faith and belief lay, where their soul belongs. Purgatory is a state in which a soul decides what they believe about themselves and reflects upon the life they lead, accepting their sins and doubt, absolving themselves of both and so moving on. It is a transitory state which is: ‘an extremely uncomfortable, painful, or unpleasant experience’ which I felt I was experiencing when I read your poem.

Just an idea anyway. Great write ;)

Words that come to mind: confusion, blind, blurred, lost

^though i don't think any of those are sufficient for the title i say use them in combination with other words.
