I know I am.

ADHD isnt a real disease.

It's a lack of parental disciplin.

Adhd is a mental sickness mainly. Not of the parents but of the mind. The mind functions like a wreck and you can't concentrate, calm down without medicated. You are diagnosted with it. It may not be a disese but it's not something your parents caused. My mom HAS adhd and I inherited it. You're born with that mental sickness. You don't recieve it in that form.

no, you do get it not only from being born.

im not even sure if you can get it by being born.

people *think* they have it, but your parents are doing something wrong in the way theyre raising you if you think you have this so-called disease.

all it is is a lack of disciplin and self-control because you were never taught how to control yourself in every day activities.

theres no rules, structure, and daily routines in your life because their parents are too lazy or not around.

simply, thats exactly what ADHD is.

if you say you've got it, blame your parents on the way you are. it's a fake disease when people don't know how to control themselves.

My best friends daughter has ADHD and is the sweetest kid most of the time.. If it's lack of discipline on the parents part, as some of You are stating, then why is it that only one daughter of hers out of four has it?.. and she gets more attention than the others. I do believe that kids play on it at times knowing they can get away with more and put it down to ADHD.. but a lot of the time she has no control.

Most kids these days go around saying they have it, as if it's a joke. and i know this because i see it every day in school. your daughter may as well have it, but just like the kid who posted this, theyre saying they have it for attention because they want people to think they're "cool"

kori...that is offensive....my brother was born with adhd...it was not my parents fault....

but i agree that its not something to be proud about.....adhd is horrible....you gpo crazy and have huge outbreaks and it hurts your whole family so much!!!

ADHD is not fake. One of my friends used to have it, he was cool and never caused real trouble. His parents were very strict and his two brothers turned out perfectly normal. He just lied a lot about stuff he didn't need to lie about, laughed nervously at everything, and worked out basically 24/7. plus, only a few people knew he had adhd, most people figured he was just a hyperactive wierdo...it's not like he flaunted it

my best friend has ADD and her little bro has ADHD but her youngest bro dont have it, i think the two of them inherited it from there father, cause her youngest bro got a different father. and my friend chelsea, who has add, i personally think that she is to hyper for her own good. but ya anywayz, i dont got it but she does. i feel bd for her.......

this is a real disorder ,not caused by the parents and can be treated with medication. I work with kids everyday that have attention defisit hyperactivity disorder , no amount of decipline can control the hyperactivity ,its unfair to blame the parents for this real disorder.

I am currently with the United States Navy.. and I have ADHD. There is no way in hell that my inattentive disorder is to blamed on my parents, you just say that because you don't understand and don't have to deal with the same situation. You can not get more discipline than from the military.. so tell me, does your statement still hold water my friend. I think not.
The parents can not control the inner workings of a child, even though they may have physical outbursts that they can't control without help, but I do it. Yes medicine help some, some it does not such as myself. I have a medical intolerance. You just have to learn to control it, which takes time.

Ok whoever is not a docter and want to effing tell me it's my parents fault!? What is your problem this is also the FUN AND HUMOR section. It's called having fun. I have SERIOUS ADHD problem but I like to joke about it because I mean c'mon I don't wan tto be like "OMG I HAVE ADHD I'M SUCH A HORRIBLE PERSON I CAN'T HAVE FUN" No! I like to joke about my mental problems so I can learn to laugh at myself. You're no phsycologist..mine didn't even diagnose me with it. My real doctor did. I take concerta becuase my add in the adhd is bad. The med. barly hurts. So I'm sorry I like to you know joke about my "diseas" but if you don't like it wel then you can deal with it. Because unless you are my doctor..I won't listen to any advice you say. And by the way, you lack a little bit of humor apparently. And how dare you blame it on my parents.
