I know exactly what you mean. I have been having a really hard time writing lately. It is also illegal for me and my boyfriend to date. I was just in your situation last year. Now, he is 18 and I am 15. I just turned 15 this november and he turned 18 in June. It was really hard at first with my mom but now things are looking for the better. Just keep it at the NO SEX level and you will be ok. My mom gives me permission to date him whenever I turn 16. If you guys just started going out, It is more than likely going to be really hard if your parents do not approve of the whole thing. You'll get through it.

Well anyways BACK ON TOPIC!!! I have been having a really hard time writing lately, also, and I don't know what to do about it. =[ If you find a cure for this awful disease, SHARE IT WITH ME! =]

PM me sometime if you ever need someone to talk to.

i think when you TRY hard to write a poem, the pressure makes it more difficult. Maybe you could just start with plain writing about what you're going through, and how you feel about it. something you write might spark your creativity, and you'll have the seed of a poem. i guess the main point is - don't tru too hard. just let it happen.

yeah i think pressure plays a big role int eh quality of your writing.. Lately my poems seem to have slipped and i have no idea why the are just not making sense to me and just coming out a blurry mess of words... And when i don't try to make them good they turn out perfect it's just now that i'm actually trying to make them good that they are turning out bad

they should flow from your heart. cliche-like i know, but true. dont worry about them sounding bad at first, just fix them later. my notebook is ful of editing marks. i go crazy. sometimes I start them and dont finish them untill later, or i write a list of topoics and when I'm more in the mood I'll write them. Try that.

just sit back, relax and let it flow.

and i know the whole illegal dating thing must be hard. my friends whent trough it, it was hard. but they liked each other a lot. they didn't let that stop them.

    Woah woah woah!
Every writer gets writers block, it's has NOTHING to do with how good you are. Some of the greatest writers on this site have had writers block at some point or another. Are they not GOOD writers?!?

It annoyed me when i read it so i ranted =)
Writers block has nothing to do with how good a writer is, it has to do with the situation you may be in.

I have writer's block 24/7!!! But I agree with you. It's just ssoo hard when you have a topic that's AMAZING but you just don't know how to put it into words. But how should I know...... I only have 2 poems!!!!! I do write in my spare time but I'm soo busy with homework, I just don't have the time. Anyway...... check out my VERY FEW poems and give me tips to break the writer's block! Thanks!

I say don't worry about rhyming, structures, or anything like at first. Just let your feelings flow from the pen to the paper, to be sure it's genuine. Then after words, if you like, fix it up a bit so that people can understand what you're trying to say (if you're going to share the poem) or changing some words here and there to rhyme or whatever you want.
    Hope that helps :)

You just write what you feel, it shouldnt be hard to write down your feelings with a lil rhyme.
