My ex hubby has been with his partner that he met online for 5 years now.. A friend of mine is planning on moving in with her online partner the beginning of next year.. Mine didn't work but I have made a great friend out of it.. Really just depends.. The longer the distance the less chance there is of working in my opinion

It depends on the person, as others have said.

I know that personally, I wouldn't be able to have an online-only relationship. I think it's important to be able to be with a person physically, to look into their eyes and all that corny stuff, ya know? In my opinion, it would hurt more than anything, and wouldn't be worth having an actual relationship.

Another reason not to, is that unless you have met your significant other (or whatever) in person, then you don't really know if they are who they say they are.

Perhaps that's just me though, maybe I don't have the patience. If you feel you can handle it, then go for it.

well, it depends if you want a long distant relationship or not...I am in an internet relationship right now we have been together for almost a year...it depends if the both of you is ready to commit to a long distance and trusting relationship... you have to be able to trust the person your with...it's working for so far...the hard part is not being able to see them or actually go out on a date with them...thats one of the challenges...do you want to stay at home and talk to them on the internet or phone all the time...I talk to my bf on the phone all the time... it's a difficult situation because you always have thoughts and wonder if they are cheating on you or not...well hope I helped any
