Just a few questions about you

Most of this stuff can be found in more detail in my profile.

I started writing fiction when I was ten.Later in my teens I wrote songs for our rock band that never happened. These turned into poems. The poems were a release of emotion I needed to express and got me through some rough times. It is expression of my inner thoughts/emotions.It is a form of self therapy. One of my favorite sayings is 'I write because I cannot NOT write'.And though never high on self-esteem, I found myself a popular and extensively published poet in the literary small presses, and even edited/published my own literay zine for 5 years.I enjoy helping others with my advice and experience(for what its worth-LOL)
My greatest inspirations are songwriters-Fish of the band Marillion, Bob Dylan, The Stone Roses, Jim Morrison,Radiohead, Pink Floyd, etc. etc. Also the poets Jim Carroll, Edgar Allan Poe,David Berman,Rod Mckuen, Emily Dickinson, Robert Frost and so many more. Also writers like Richard Bach, Hugh Prather, Douglas Coupland, etc.

    Peace, Poetry & Power,

    1. why did you start writing?

Honestly, I started writing because my sister starting to write poetry when I was 13. I just wanted to copy her and I wrote down silly stuff about boys. I had my sister read it and she was angry because my poetry was better than hers. She stopped writing it, but I still continued to write it.

    2. what keeps you writing?

I guess I would have to say the fact that I still have pencils and paper in my home. Also, I use writing as my outlet instead of yelling or punching someone in the face...or hurting myself. I feel that it is like an anti-drug of some sorts.

    3. what are some of your greatest inspirations

Some great inspirations are boys! Ha, boys always tend to break my heart so I get to write about how much they suck and should never have walked the face of the planet. Another one is my dad, almost every time i talk to him, we get in a fight, and I write about it.

the answer of all three questions are
there is a person in my life who i write for, poetry is the only way i can send a message to her, if not for her i can not write, and until this moment her feelings about my poems are (poetry is nothing but some words that i dont understand)

    1. why did you start writing

I started writing in the middle of sixth grade [two years ago?] when my best friend broke my heart . I needed a way to express how I felt -- And i found that I just couldn`t do it through writing everything in a diary . I found it easier to express myself through poetry .

    2. what keeps you writing

The drama at school, the heartbreaks that my friends go through, the unrequited love I go through and all the old heartbreaks keep me writing . And sometimes, I just feel like writing -- Like there is no inspiration or nothing . I just wanna write .

    3. what are some of your greatest inspirations

I really have no inspirations . Rarely I read a poem, and get inspired but that`s about it .

    1. i started writing it to cope with feeling such as anger, heartache,a death, etc. but then i loved so i kept writing.

    3. my greatest inspirations are not poets. they are tommy the clown and larry the clown because tommy startedkrump dancing and clowning in 1992 to keep kids out of trouble so they won't go the wrong way and be in a gang or something and larry grew up around tommy and tommy is like a father to him and i hope my writing can do the same for younger or older people.
