I have a major problem

I have this huge huge problem...Well its between this guy that I've been in love with for the past four yrs and my best friend. I liked this guy since I was in 8th grade but I didn't realized that I was in love with him a awhile back ago. I knew that my feelings kept getting stronger though. Well my best friend knew that I liked him and knew that I asked him out awhile back ago. Well yesterday morning she came up to me and told me that she asked him out. And that broke my heart. So I went up to him that afternoon before fourth period and told him that if he wanted to go out with her he could I didn't care. But I had a hard time trying not to cry. And then he gave me a hug and I had to run out of the room crying. Well today, I came to school and my friend Will told me that my best friend was looking for me so I was trying to find her and I couldn't. So I asked my ex boyfriend where she was and he grabbed me and started screaming and stuff and telling me that I was trying to steal Justin away from her. And that made me really mad. So I told justin what Keith said and he said that he's not gonna date any of us if its gonna cause all of this. And I look at him and told him that all I wanted to do was figure out what brittany wanted and keith just yelled at me and he said he knows and that I wasn't stealing him away from brittany. Well I felt really bad all day long, so I saw justin again before fourth started and he said that he does like me, and he knows I love him more than anything. But he just don't know what to do bc of what brittany is doing. And then he hugged me and kissed me on the cheek and said that good things come to those who wait.

What does it mean when a guy does or says that?

And what should I do about my friend? And do u think that she might have really forgotten that I liked him or she just used that as an excused so I wouldn't get mad at her?

I suggest talking to your friend. If you ask me, you both should just forget him really. He doesn't seem to care enough to pick either one of you, and he probably just likes the attention.

Your best friend is always worth more than a guy, remember that.

But the problem is I've known both of them the same amount of time...Justin he's also like my other best friend..I can talk to him about anything and everything. And he's always there for me to count on. He's always a shoulder I can cry on no matter what happens. But Brittany she dated one of my other guy friends six times and hurt him and cheated on him and I just can't watch Justin go through that. I would go crazy and end up hurting her probly.

That's why I think you need to explain to her why both of you should stay away from him. Just don't date him, it seems like it's just going to cause problems.

As for the things he says to you, well who ever knows what a guy really means lol. Try not to get too attached, you don't want to lose your best friend, someone you should care about a LOT, over a relationship that may not go anywhere.

Personally, it doesn't sound like she's much of a friend if she asked him out and she KNEW you liked him, a real friend wouldn't do that, she sounds like a backstabber to me.... I mean, she cheated on a guy, she asked her "best friend's" crush out, doesn't sound like a friend to me....But I agree with Jamie, talk to her about it, and then talk to him about it. I had a friend who was a backstabber once, trust me, life is better if they aren't your friend!!
