Has anyone here gotten out of depression by falling in love?

Anyways.
I'm back again.

But, my fiancee also got out of depressiong by falling in love...with me. =]
He had just been to the mental hospital (for lack of better term) and then we met that day when he returned on the internet....and we have been in love ever since.
I do, however, remember one night when he called me a few days after we had met and was contiplating suicide...I kept telling him he couldn't that too many loved him.. When I was in my own denial of loving him..
I can't say how glad I am I saved him that night...

Yup. I was really depressed and I somehow got out of it. Dont know how. Then when I started getting depressed I met Chris. Now I'm not depressed.

Love love love, everyone! =] My love and I...totally love each other. WHO KNEW? We're getting married. But is it just me or is it possible to love someone SO much that it depresses you and worries you? That it keeps you up all night wondering if he's thinking about you..if he really cares or if he's just feeling sorry for you? I have a medical case of paranoia just as I have depression. So maybe even love can't conquer my depression until I can learn to conquer my paranoia. Hmm.

Depression is an ILLNESS, a mental ILLNESS which can affect your entire life for months, years even! How can falling in love snap u out of a depression so strong? why dont counsellors say "oh its ok just go and find sum1 and fall in love with them" instead of doing all they can to pull u out with PROFFESIONAL HELP!?!!? seriously babe, stop living in a fairytale.

Okay but im just saying that sierra is the only person, in my opinion, who is living in the real world. what are you guys gonna do when u "loose love"? If you continue to convince yourself that love is this only thing bringing you out of depression then when something goes wrong in your love life, subconciously, you will fall apart. You cannot rely on something like that to bring u out of the dark. so thats why i said fairytale, because from what i've read, you're all convinced that "love has saved you" dont be so stupid! You can be so very in love and still be depressed. love wont solve anything.

no i've had major depression on and off for about three years and the onset of the last time i really felt it was while i was in my last relationship. it did get a lot worse after we broke up though. love sucks.

i fell in love, then ended up depressed. Never gotten over it. So, no.

Well I am very much in love with my fiance/boyfriend and he is very much in love with me.

But he made the mistake of confusing love with lust for his ex girlfriend as well and tried to cheat on me and in the process telling lies and stories that when I found out broke my heart.

Love has always been my downfall and will always BE. It's what deepens my depression and fuels it.

i was cutting myself for about 3 years, then
i got with my boyfriend. i cut myself oneday. he picked up a piece of broken glass and cut his wrist. i cried telling him to stop and he said, what ur feeling right now is wot i feel everytime i see blood pouring from ur wrists. He told me that suicide is nothing, to live is everything. i am not really depressed anymore. he showed me theres more to life than the easy way out. love u all. hope it helps

I haven't fallen in love... instead, I have fallen into depression. I suppose that you would call it admiration. I saw a person, and I knew that I could never see him. I have fallen into the hole of depression.

yes .. i have .. made me feel like i was wonderful ... everything was right with me ... he made me think someone really love me .... like i made a diffrence ... but then he broke my heart .... and showed me i wasnt all those things ... and i went right back to the depression i was in ... so once agian .. i was in this depression that sees to ever end ..

wow..well tht mite b awsome for you...i put my ex out of depression but when we broke up..he put himself back in it...now i cant even help him..
