How do you let go?

How do you let go of something you wanted for so long and its everything you wanted if its not making you happy but you wish it got better?

^^he is right. You just can't let go and get over it just like that. Time is your answer. Kinda like my ex bf, he broke up with me because he got another girl pregnant. It hurt for a while, and then about a few weeks later, I'm still not completely over him yet, because I'm still in love with him.
