How far do you love poetry?

When i joined this site, I felt i found the thing i'm missing all through my life. When i posted poems, I thought nobody would read it and i was so damn scared! But when somebody voted and commented on my poem, tears almost fall down my cheeks. Me and my best-friend were in a war that time and nothing did make me happy except this website... I really love poetry.... How 'bout you?

I love poetry in a way different than yours. You were the writer and im the reader. That makes difference right? The poem every writer in this website makes is really heartlifting and a world-class type. And everytime i read it, true world separates me from the other.

Ah, and a different story from myself as well.

Writing for me, and why I love it, it is my only outlet. Perhaps, only, is not what I need there, but we'll say so.
It is, however, a curse, because my finacee and friends always say I'm too 'closed up' which is what happens when I tend to write a lot.

But, I love poetry with all my heart. It is my way of expressing myself and showing what little talent I have to the world. I love writing poetry...and knowing I have grown as a poet makes my heart grow with pride.

For me it's a different story as well. At first I wrote because I loved it, with the fact being that I was feeling that same way for years. Except this year it became something I needed to do without thinking much. I hardly had to think of the words, and at times there'd be a poem written within a few minutes. It'd freak me out a bit because I've gotten to the point where I'm feeling on the edge. I don't want to disappoint myself. When a friend of mine suggested I lowered my standards for myself I literally started feeling upset and I told him I couldn't. It just felt automatic. He told me he knew that in a way that I believed he understood. It still upsets me that writing is becoming more of a driven force and that I still worry sometimes that I'd disappoint people and myself.

Yeah, sometimes or often, it really hurts, at the same time disappointing when we are not satisfied with our own writing. It happened to me a lot you know. It is one of my frustrations. But I couldn't stop writing poetry or stories because it's my life.

poetry is one of my bestest way to express my feelings, i write poetry oftenly.. and most of them is about depression.. and for me..by reading other people's poems make me realise of how other people really feel. and how sad or happy they are with their life..i have to say..i learned a lot from reading other people's poems

I started writing love poems when I was a teenager and as I've grown older, I write about many things. It is just something I enjoy doing. I also love to read about a dream, a story, a fantasy,a life experience and all the many things conveyed in poetry.

Poetry is a way of life now, lmao
I was bored one day in work, so started doodling a poem on a sales ticket and since then i was hooked.
The sheer power of the words amazed me and it was amazing of what messages i could convey with a few chosen words.
When i first started here i was a total unknown, i was lucky to get a comment but the more i read, the more people i met, the better my work became and now i feel i've come so far in poetry.
And i feel more fulfilled as a person =)

"How far do you love poetry?"

I think I've only taken poetry to about third base so far. We haven't gone 'all the way' yet. : (
