At My Age

    ....... Um..

''Oh to be a teen again, God how I miss those years, you don't know how lucky you are, no bills, no taxes, no or very little responsibility, and dating was so much fun......''

^^How can you be so sure on how lucky I am? No. I am 15 soon to be 16. I pay rent, I work, I volunteer, I have many responsibilities. I buy my own clothing, I buy my food, pay for everything. Dating is just another thing on the list, I can live without it.

I know this whole thing is about where you stand at your age.. but.. don't make it seem that all teenagers are responsibility free.. and they have no expenses. I didn't appreciate that. Peace.

You've been thinking... Sluvy, that is a scary thought in itself. And although you have brought up a few good points. I would like to add a few age old adages of my own:

When you're old... People mistake age for wisdom. You can throw anything at them and they take it as truth. They figure they are too uninformed to argue without looking silly.

When you're old... [taking a page from your book], you can say and do anything you want. The youngsters won't stop you 'cause they figure you are old enough to know the consequenses of your own actions. Or they tend to live by the old saying, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks".

When you're old... You can get the younger generation to do things you don't want to do yourself. Like driving. Get in one little fender bender and suddenly your kids have deemed you unsafe to be behind the wheel of a moving vehichle. For those of you who hate fighting that 5:00 traffic jam...There you go.

When you're old... your legs ache, your back hurts and though Aunt Flo has quit visiting, you find yourself crying at the drop of a hat. For those of you who love attention, With your 'wisdom', I'm sure you can think of a really creative reason for the tears.

When you're old... people stop looking to you for answers to life's mysteries. They figure you're too old to remember how the world works. Senility has set in and left you mindless. But that's okay, let them learn at the school of hard knocks like we had to.

And what is this stuff they are calling music nowadays? Although some of it is worth a second listen, most of it isn't worth a first. When its all about the size of a booty or the slide of his style... what's up with that?

Well, I guess I'll get off my soapbox and back in the wheelchair. My kids are taking me to the park this afternoon to sit a spell. Like I want to be a sitting duck for the birds flying by...hahahaha.

on a more serious note, someone threw a newborn 6 pound, 4 ounce baby in a dumpster in New Jersey yesterday.....I think they should give that child a 10 million dollar trust fund, a free college education and a big ole house with a staff to cater to his/her every need and make the mother watch films of his life for the next twenty years while sitting in a cell......that's what I've been thinking about, at my age.....

^^ how cruel. That's all I have to say about that. I've been having a pretty good day so far and if I go on about this I'd probubly ruin it....

But I enjoy your thoughts. Very entertaining, and sadly for the most part, true. (is anyone real anymore) < Hahaha

I heard about the incident,The sad part is in N.J. you can take an infant to a hospital or church and leave them with no legal consequence, she deserves no mercy. As for the old age stuff...I`m with Rod Stewert FOREVER YOUNG!

"Oh to be a teen again, God how I miss those years, you don't know how lucky you are, no bills, no taxes, no or very little responsibility, and dating was so much fun......"

True enough for me. :) Every year I look back and think of the things I took for gradent, and hope I can grow to see the good before me. I'm a whinney little teen though, one that trys to understand her problems aren't that bad, and that the little good things aren't really all that little....
