picking words

everytime i write a poem i get stuck on words and i get worried if the poem sounds funny with that word in it does anyone else get that and what do they do to over come that? thanks eL

i take that word and look up a word with the same meaning for it. :)

well i take a bunch of words add them in to see which one sounds the best, until the poem sounds good, but i dont use big words so i cant help you there.

well some words are hard to pick out but as long as they fit the meaning of your poem they should be great! Make sure you use strong words keep the reader interested lol Mandz

A thesarus can help.

For rhyming i use www.rhymezone.com It is a most excellent site.

I usually use a thersaurous(sp?) and change the words if they don't sound right
