Hi Peter,
Thanks for your comments on the poem "An Impious night"
I didn't take the definition from shadow poetry.com...
I guess, i had reffered with these sites..
http://www.forwardpress.co.uk/04_workshop/workshop_02.htm
http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/rondel (Websters dictionary)
....etc
After you informed that the definition is wrong... i found this site had the definition which you told..
http://eir.library.utoronto.ca/rpo/display_rpo/terminology.cfm#wheel
http://www.poeticbyway.com/gl-r.html#roundel
....etc
Where did you get the definition? And how did you make sure which is the right definition?
I rechecked the definition.. and different sites are giving different definitions... with examples.
http://www.wordreference.com/definition/rondel
http://www.wordiq.com/define/rondel.html
I observed that there are two spellings.. Rondel and roundel.. In some sites they
tell both are the same.. some tell they are different..
Some sites tell that Rondel has 10-13 lines..
And some sites tell that Roundel has 11 lines.. some tell it has 14 lines.
Which is right.. And how do you confirm that?
If anybody else knows about this.. please let me know..
