Poem Title: When Death Comes Knocking
Poem Genre: Dark, Dark and Horror
    Poem:

You'll hear him first, inside your mind
And then you'll feel the shiver
A coldness captured you in time
    A steady thump delivered.

Inside your heart, he'll make his way
    With greedy hands of pain
    Reaching in the depths today
    Bringing forth the rain.

Nowhere to run, he'll draw you down
    With icy voice, he'll call
    Trying to ignore the sound
    But you begin to fall

Into the darkness, you will slide
    No room for your sanity
There isn't any place to hide
From him, you can not flee.

He will find you, your soul to keep
    No ransom, can you pay
When death comes knocking at your door
    He'll take your breath away.

    Name of Poem: Let

Poem Genre: Poems about life, inspirational poems

    Poem:

    Let the enchanting oceans crawl,
Let the birds come from the trees,
    Let nothing stop the rain,
    Let peace end lonely pleas,

    Let depression become scarce,
    Let suicide become unheard,
    Let tears become a smile,
Let good thought become a word,

    Let nothing stop the joy,
    Let evolution cease the pain,
    Let anew become unforgotten,
Let no crack in window pane,

Let the sky be the limit,
    Let survival be the prize,
    Let media lose control,
Let the heat end the rise

Let this dream be of truth,
Let us smile, breathe and kiss,
    Let resolution be a saviour,
    Let nothing end this bliss,

Let next year be the one,
    Let it change greater good,
    Let our happiness run wild,
Let it be as it should.

    Title: My already broken Heart
    Poem Genre: Sad poems

Walking through the streets of my home town,
With one single thought going through my mind,
That's the thought of you, never does it end,
And it's driving me around this narrow bend.
True love like this, I don't think I'll ever find,
And I can't smile, all I can do is sadly frown.

You're tearing up my already broken heart

Lying upon my bed, looking into the night sky,
With the words playing like a CD on repeat,
When you opened your heart, I melted in two,
Now I can't stop thinking of those nights with you,
Can't you hear the sound of my empty heart beat,
Listen to me, as I sit here alone, doing nothing but cry.

It's tearing up my already broken heart.

Standing on the mountain, can't do this anymore,
The pain is stabbing at me right where you lay,
I want to forget all the love that you and I once shared,
And all the times when I believed you truly cared,
Now all those thoughts of you, will fade away,
As I tumble over the edge and hit the rock hard floor.

It tore up my already broken heart.

The tears that I once always cried,
ended on the day I commited suicide.

    Title: Kiss my confusion
    Poem genre: love, desired love
    by Melissa

    I've been thinking about kissing
    entirely too much lately

    Having pondered him
    for nearly seven days now,
my tongue has become silent in thought
in an all trance like doe eyed
    state of personification
and it's disgustingly overwhelming my senses
    with sheer wonderment

I'm trying to fight this emotion off
with a toy sword filled with candy,
but my heart is much more tender
than this objective pen of mine
and I must confess, that's fine by me
it teaches me more about the soul,

    something I crave ownership for

I've been following this map of inconsistency
    for far too long now
    and my feet don't know
which path they may sway (this time)

So when the telephone finally rings
these rainbow soles and ink stained palms
    forget how to cooperate,
    instead they resist temptation
    and tangle me between myself
so when I reach for hello
my little heart trips in vain

    Poem Title: Resonant Echoes
Poem Genre: Desired Love (i dont really know)
    Poem:

    As I speak to you,
    You say naught
I wish this were not true
All I hear are my thoughts

    Echoing back to me,
    With nothing to say
    I look into the sea,
    You look the other way

    Taking no heed,
    To my boring eyes
    That's why I bleed,
    And begin to cry

    More every day
    Pouring from my heart
    I begin to decay,
    I'm being torn apart

    Right in front of you
    You seem to not care
    There are only few,
    That can even compare

    To your splendour,
    To your wonderment
    Skin so tender,
    Such beauty sent

    Down from above
    Down from the heavens
    You showed the world love,
    So much you have given

    To all the stars,
    All across the land
    Reaching so far,
    You give me your hand

    To take and caress,
    Until the lasting night
    I had to confess,
    That you were the starlight

    That lights this blank page
    That I am staring at
    Not knowing what to write,
    Except for this night

    When I try to whisper
    I try not to shout
All I hear are resonant echoes
    Tearing my head inside out

Poem Title: I Think Of You
Poem Genre: Love, I Love You
    Poem:

In the heat of the night
    I think of you
    Push my tears a side
    And try to move on

    But all I see
    Is you in my thoughts
And I know it is going to be
That much harder to move on

    The day you left me
    I was in shock
    Didn't know what to do
    Or even what to say

Now that it's been a few days
    I say I am fine
    But deep down inside
    I'm still crying

    My heart was shattered
When you said lets just be friends
But overtime, I came to realize
Friends is better than losing you

    I love you
    And I always will
    I pray for you
    Night and day

    Hoping that maybe
    Things will change
But I know things happen for a reason
So I know everything will be just fine

    Poem Title: Falling Star Quarterback
    Poem Genre: Sad, Other
    Poem:

It started with an injury from,
A tackle at a football game.
If only someone could have known
His life would soon be down the drain.

    Rushed to the nearest hospital,
Doctor said he'd recover in due time
Just some broken bones, a busted knee.
A few months he should be fine.

    Quarterback in a wheelchair,
    Rolling through the busy halls.
Who would have known those painkillers,
Would lead to this star's downfall?

    He began to become addicted
    He needed his precious pills.
And so began his rollerroller coaster
Of twists and turns and spills.

    He tricked his loving mother,
And lied to dear old Dad.
"I never took four pills this morning.
I swear, only two is what I had."

An error from the pharmacist they thought,
So although he was no longer in pain,
    His prescription was renewed again,
And selling drugs became his game.

    His teammates became the clients,
    In his illegal, in-school trade,
And since his meds were very strong,
He became wealthy with what he made.

And with the money that he got,
from selling the meds to his friends,
He bought different, new and very powerful drugs.
You could tell tragedy would soon impend.

Soon enough his supply got scarce
His doctor would no longer prescribe,
So without the money he earned,
The money he owned he couldn't provide.

They wanted, needed the money he owed,
And no matter how hard the kid tried,
    From these veteran dealers,
    The Star Quarterback couldn't hide.

Now he's back in the hosptal,
This time he's the one to blame.
In the end he'll probably make it,
But he will never be the same.

    Poem title-Hide my Pain
    Poem Genre-Sad Poems
    Poem:

    A girl hides her pain
    from everyone around
    trying not to cry
wishing pain would magically fade away

    Everyone thinks she is ok
no one knows how she feels

The chaos in her life is overwhelming
the pain consumes her little by little
    until it has her soul

There is no peace she can find
    she misses her old life
    what she used to have
    until grief took it away
    and never gave it back

she sits in her room wondering
    "why me?"
    "Better me than someone else"

    The people she loves
tell her things will get better
when they get worse and worse

Her parents fight in the background
    her mind wonders
    where no mind should wonder
she wishes she could understand what went wrong,
where did the life she once love end....

    POEM TITLE: My Chaotic Bliss
    GENRE: Lost Love

I miss the way we used to hug
    I miss my stolen kiss
I want things to be back to normal
    I miss My Chaotic Bliss

I miss the way you'd hold my hand
Like I was the only one in the world
I miss the feeling of being your only
    Of being your baby girl

If I could turn back the hands of time
    Believe me baby, I would
I always believed our love had a chance
I always thought we were for good

I miss our late night phone calls
    I miss our love-filled chats
I wonder if you miss them too
But I could never ask you that

I miss the time we'd spend
I miss the secrets we planned
I wish I could fix this problem
I want to make you understand

I wish that you could just see
How much I still truly care
How, at all our old spots
    Baby, I'm still standing there

I'm not wishing for a miracle
For miracles don't always come true
I'm just wishing for you to be in my arms
I wish it was still me and you

I miss the feeling I would get
When you would wrap your arms around my waist
What an experience, I can't explain
You would make my heart race

I miss your hands; I miss your lips
I miss the place you filled in my heart
I hate this feeling that's there now
    Now that we're really apart

I miss your eyes, the way you'd look at me
I miss getting all those notes
    I miss owing you a 1,000 kisses
    I re-read everything you wrote

I miss listening to our song
    Everytime I do, I cry
    I can't help it, it's kinda hard
So please don't ask me why

I'm afraid to ask if you miss me
    I don't know what you'd say
It's hard to see you in the halls
    I miss you more everyday

It's hard to watch you go
I don't wanna say goodbye anymore
    There's still something between us
It's just too strong for me to ignore

I miss the love you had for me
I miss the way things used to be
There's just too much about you I miss
I miss you, My Chaotic Bliss

POEM TITLE: The Four Knight of teh Apocalypse
    POEM GENRE: Dark poems
    POEM:

Descending from the border of the horizon that burns in sunset
With black-winged horses that lacerate the skies
The four knights of the apocalypse that have been sent
To punish the unworthy and entail fear and cries

East,West,North and South materialize the knights
    That fly like shadowing ghosts over the mainlands;
The bastards condemned shall never see again the day's light
Their filthy blood will be impregnated in the lands

Each knight wears in his scabbard unique swords
Only four elements could define their natural meaning
Earth,Water,Fire and Air have chosen the lords
To appease the remains of the world by killing

Undercrofts were filled with deceased forsakens
Drowned or suffocated, caused by nature's Water and Air
Burnt alive...fierce Fire their lives had taken
Or buried alive...Earth murdered life maybe fair

Those doomed intentions and damned hearts
Knights of death have embraced the strong perdition
Apocalypse threw the victims in a fragmented dark
No more greatness for the humans is the main deception

Once the knight's sinful armours silenced all
Their scarred faces shall never be discovered
Nobody will know from where their swords rise or fall
Decades draw a veil and the kills remain covered...

POEM TITTLE: Songs That Got Me Through
    POEM Genre: Poems About Life
    POEM:

Forget all I used to tell.
All I said was all to dwell,
on something I needed to seek to find,
something to replace this empty heart and mind.
A heart baring thoughts that cant replace,
an empty smile upon my face.
Now I realize after all this time,
I've had what I've wanted all along.
Its those simple songs that got me through.
Or else I'd be empty without knowing what to do.
The songs that made me jump on my bed,
or the times I'd lay down on it and dream instead.
I've had what I've wanted all along.
On that simple melody, of a simple song.
    It sang to me...

    Poem Title : Forever Chained
    Poem Genre: Sad, Depression
    Poem

    Looking into the mirror
Staring back, what do I see?
    Not the grown woman
But the helpless child in me

    Robbed of my innocence
Now living my life in fear
    Spiraled into a depression
For this life I wish to revere

    Trapped behind invisible bars
    Created by my imagination
Confined to a life of solitary
    Only deepened by my isolation

    Abandoned hope in the past
    Confidence never to be regained
Loathing in a sea of tears
This destiny has me forever chained

    POEM Genre: Love
    POEM:

You're like a string, you silly thing
You've thread yourself through all my thoughts
I think about you lots and lots
Around my heart, you've tied your knots

You silly thing, you're like a string
And everyday I see you giggle
Cause the more I try and wiggle
Get more tied up the more I wriggle

Oh silly string, you silly thing
Might as well give up the fight
    Wrapped around me in daylight
And even in my dreams at night

You're like a string, you silly thing
I'm all tied up, I am I guess

POEM TITLE: The Only Moment We Were Alone
    POEM Genre: Love, Secret Love
    POEM:

And it's come to that time again,
And I'll kiss you like the dozens before,
    But this time...I'm not kissing you;
    You're hidden behind blue eyes,
    And I just end up kissing the wall;

    Your fingers are salty,
    And your smell is everywhere...just everywhere;
So wherever I fall, I've fallen into you...

    You breathe in my ear,
    And I whisper back...
    I don't know what's being said,
    It's a different language we're speaking now.

    And I'm like everyone else,
    And you're like, noone else
And let it happen...and let it happen...
And it shouldn't happen...but it happens...
    And never again...
It's the only moment, we were alone

Poem title: Your soul screams why
    Poem genre: dark ' other
    Poem:

    Please tell me
    WHY???
    why do you try
    to deny that voice
    that ME
    which speaks inside?
why do you refuse to listen
    when in such agony
    it sighs?
or is it a mere ghosts whisper
    of halfheard words
    behind your very eyes?
    why do you try
    so damn hard
    to silence it
    with alcohol
    drugs
    and lies?
    why do you medicate
    your mind
    to try forget
    your soul inside?
why do you try to flee
    and in societies
    illusions hide?
    BUT
    does it not
    always find you
    when your sober
    by yourself
    in the dark of night
    all alone
    with your fears
    and your pain
and there is no sleep insight?
    THEN
can you not hear its tragic screams?
can you not hear its mournful cries?
    does its weak pleas
    not keep you awake
    as it shrieks
and begs you for its life
as in its own pool of blood
    you try so hard
    to it drown
    but in your grip
    STILL
    it squirms and it writhes
and begs you to atleast answer
    why it must die?
why must it be tortured so
    until its end is nigh?
    but are there any answers
    or merely society's lies?
have the playthings of the gods
    become your chains that bind
    you to your sorrows
    while ever trapped
    behind your masks
    never free
    your soul
    forever cries
so once more I ask you
    WHY???

Poem title: The chant of death
    Poem genre: sad poems suicide
    Poem:

    So here
    within
    the warm bath
    i lie
    so depressed
    and hollow
    numb
    withing my own mind
    no more care
    for tomorrow
    just want and end
    to this sorrow
    but do i really
    want to die?

    then
    as if awakening
    to a nightmare
i stare at my shaking hand
    there
    across my palm
    so sharp
    and beautiful
    this blade stands
    its words
    withing my mind
    as seducing
    as the rains descend
    over desert sands
    as it whispers its chant
    " don't you just think
    you've had enough?
    whats all your pain
    here for?
    aren't you tired
    of all this fear?
    this depression
    that rips you
    to the core
    to leave you crushed
    bleeding
    and sore.
    so hear then my oath
    my promise
    to you
    to end it
    takes just once
    what have you left
    to lose?
    so take your courage
    within your own hands
    i bid you
    between this hell
    and eternal peace choose
    two cuts
    nearly painless
    to set
    your grieving soul loose
    so be strong my friend
    be brave
    trust in me
and i will take you away
    far beyond
    all sorrow
    and pain
    to never again see
    this blackened world"

    Falling From Grace

    Sad, Anger

These little boys and little girls
Stone cold hearts and bitter worlds
No where to turn but in wards
They make believe in other words

Vanish all that cause their pain
    Friends who are imaginary
In their world there's only gain
But they know it's all fake

    The real worlds forgotten them
Bloody fist fights between moms and dads
But they hope it's not all bad
They fall down but they're not dead

    (Chorus)
    They're falling from grace
    Until they numb they're pain
    They're falling from grace
    No ones arms to embrace
    They're falling from grace
    Supports are breaking away
    They're falling from grace
    This air has no trace
    Of them

These business men who rule the world
Stone cold hearts and harsh words
Forgotten how to turn in wards
They're childhood is not a curse

As little kids they did not wish
To rule the world with an iron fist
They just somehow turned out like this
A wrong turn here lead to bitterness

    Now they've left their childhood
    Forgotten all they could
    Forgotten where they stood
The line that was drawn and the side they took

    (Chorus)
    They're falling from grace
    Until they numb they're pain
    They're falling from grace
    No ones arms to embrace
    They're falling from grace
    Supports are breaking away
    They're falling from grace
    This air has no trace
    Of them

    No!
    Leave those kids alone!
They can think on their own!
    No!
    Leave those kids alone!
They can breathe on their own!

    (Chorus)
    They're falling from grace
    Until they numb they're pain
    They're falling from grace
    No ones arms to embrace
    They're falling from grace
    Supports are breaking away
    They're falling from grace
    This air has no trace
    Of them

    Footprints (A Protest of Rejects)

    Dark, Anger, Protest

    Run down these streets with
    With no true reasons
    Take out our words
    Scream them out with curves
    Blood on our hands
    Was not really our plans
    Follow step by step
    We're led on by footprints

    So scream and shout!
    Shout it out!
    So scream and shout!
    Shout it loud!

    (Chorus)
    We run we run!
    Together we're one
    Spray paint the walls!
    We hide we hide!
We take it all in stride
    Let's trip and fall!
    We are we are!
    The sons of stars
    We're all rejects!
    We take we take!
    Forget how to create
    Follow footprints!

    Hide in shadows
So we can still steal halos
    Fallen from grace
    We leave no trace
    Keep up with me
    We're like a raging sea
    Cause if you slow
    You will be swallowed

    So scream and shout!
    Shout it out!
    So scream and shout!
    Shout it loud!

    (Chorus)
    We run we run!
    Together we're one
    Spray paint the walls!
    We hide we hide!
We take it all in stride
    Let's trip and fall!
    We are we are!
    The sons of stars
    We're all rejects!
    We take we take!
    Forget how to create
    Follow footprints!

    So scream and shout!
    A difference will be made
    A path we'll pave!
    So scream and shout!
    We will force a change
    These days we'll save!

    (Chorus)
    We run we run!
    Together we're one
    Spray paint the walls!
    We hide we hide!
We take it all in stride
    Let's trip and fall!
    We are we are!
    The sons of stars
    We're all rejects!
    We take we take!
    Forget how to create
    Follow footprints!

ok i think i got this...i'm not positive though.

    title: Under Your Spell
    genre: sad, lost relationships
    poem:

It's 3 in the morning but you're still on my mind,
The tears blur the darkness, making me blind.
    I can't pretend I don't miss you, because it'd be a lie,
Even though it's over, I can't just say goodbye

If there's one memory I don't want to lose,
It's the feeling that I had when I was with you.
Everything before you had no meaning,
But now I realize it was you I was missing.

Though no one can decide who it is we dream of,
The person of whom I dream is the one I love.
You mean so much to me, but you're fading away,
I'll give up everything to just have you one more day.

All I can do now is just lay around in bed,
So many memories keep replaying in my head.
I remember what it felt like to be in your arms,
You took my heart with your kindness and charms.

I just keep falling harder and harder each time,
Though we're apart, can't get you outta my mind
Life without you has just been a living hell,
Baby, can't you see? You got me under your spell.

My door is always open, if you don't want to move on,
Sometimes you don't know what you got until it's gone.
But I don't want to be without you, so I'll be waiting,
If only I could go back in time, I could've saved this aching.

Don't want no one else, but don't want to be alone,
I'm falling apart at the seams, apart bone by bone.
The only one I want to be with anymore is you,
I try to move on, but you crawl into everything I do.

I think of you for hours on end, as I lie in bed awake.
I know why you ended us, I'm more then you could take.
I know being with me wasn't easy, but I tried,
I know I was wrong, shouldn't have kept it all inside.

Though I can't feel a thing, you can find much then me,
I'll always remember you, but it's time you be free.
I guess that some things are just not meant to be.
Because the truth is, you're so much better then me...

Title: The cry for a new beginning
    by: Mark
    Genre: Nature

    From the biggest tree
    to the smallest creature
    they will get their fee
    thats the force of nature

    A rainy day
    Thats when nature say
    it needs to clear
    all of it's fear

    the fear for us
    because
    mankind evolves
    and no problem solves

    one tree falling
    another calling
    Gaea, mother earth
to give a new life it's birth

    though only a phantom
    and it's all random
    cause our boys
    they all destroys

    a city raised
    our boys em-braised
but no one hears the calls
    from nature, when it falls

    No man is sorry
    for the dying glory
    and it isn't fair
    that no one care

who wins the battle for control?
    lets hope nature,
cause it were the one, that gave flesh to our soul.

    Poem: A Prayer To God
    Poem: sad
    Poem: by sarah

    A prayer to god

I pray to you god for it is my Mum and boyfriend you have taken.

I pray to you God when I lay down to sleep I do not awaken.

Please let me go to sleep as I can't for these painful tears I weep.

Please I have no fear of dying believe me, as I'm not lying.

How you take me, I don't care how all I ask is you take me now.

I will go for now, in hope I get to sleep.

In hope not to be kept awake with painful tears I weep.

I will go for now and dream of what you have taken.

In hope that tomorrow never comes an I don't waken.

Erase My Life As You Erase My Pain
    by:Star Laura
    Genre:Sad Poems/Depression

Sometimes i feel like i can erase
All the things that i learned
All the things that i lived
    And i wish i had a pencil
    To draw my life again

    As i draw a picture
    A picture of sadness
    What colors are included in?
    What shapes you see?

A love maybe,a heart in black
That heart won't stop to ache
    Nothing in my childhood
    Nothing in my past
    Can erase this disappointment
    Can erase this shadow black

    Looking at my window
    All colors faded black
    Not any of my parents
    Not any of my friends
    Can make my life bearable
    Can make white that black

    Poem Title: Sinful Souls
Poem Genre: Dark, Fantasy & Mystical
    Poem:

Crisp winter air fills their swollen nostrils
The wind beats against each throbbing chest
Faces frozen, lips numb and blue

Snow swirls with the dancing souls
Frosty mountain tops tremble in unrest
Ice gathers in every indulgence worn shoe

In a nearby church, the bell tolls
And the cold-bitten eyes turn west
Gazing upon the cross, icicles form an eerie hue

The pews filled up with eager-faithed pupils
    Livid spirits chilled and hard-pressed
    Awaiting answers and forgiveness, anew

Glaring down from safe haven; gargoyles
    Tolerantly waiting, stone and statuesque
For the night comes, guardians of true

    Wings folded, lingering without pulse
    Shadows whisper, releasing the grotesque
The silent night falls, exposed to construe

Living souls full of sin--breathing trolls
    Hidden behind church walls, unblessed
What would become? If only they knew...

Eyes of shame stare into their bowls
The beating of wings thrums a faithful test
Wicked ears capture not but sloshing stew

A glimpse of one creature, and He mulls
What has become of this fateful quest?
    Traitorous followers, falseness through

POEM TITLE: Loving You (Part 1)
POEM Genre: Love, I Love You
    POEM:

    Loving you
    Was a dream come true.
    I gave you my heart,
And hoped we would never part.

From the moment I met you,
    I knew it was true.
And that your love for me,
    Would never flee.

And as the days became weeks
And the weeks turned to months
My love for you began to grow
    And even started to show

I always wore the color red,
    Because I knew ahead;
    That you would say,
    You liked my display.

    I wrote you love poems,
    Hoping you would love them;
Like the way you loved me,
    Wishing you not to flee.

    You're the only one,
    You're in everyone I see.
    You're the one I trust,
You're the one I want to touch.

When I close my eyes it's you I see,
    And nothing can compare
    For the way you care;
Not just for me, but others as well.

POEM TITLE: Loving You (Part 2)
    POEM Genre: Love, Rekindled Love
    POEM:

    Loving you
    Was a dream come true.
    I gave you my heart,
And hoped we would never part.

    But then,
    My worst nightmare happened,
    You left me
    And I was in tears.

    I didn't understand,
    Why you had left me.
I had given you my heart,
And in the process it was broken.

    We talked that night,
You said it was too hard.
Too hard for you to wait,
For me to be by your side.

    You wanted more,
    More of the physical relationship.
    You said it was hard,
When friends asked if you were single.

You didn't know how to explain,
Or even how to show how you felt.
But you knew deep down inside,
You wanted to give me another chance.

    For your love for me
    Never faded away,
    And the next day,
    We were back together again.

POEM TITLE: Loving You (Part 3)
    POEM Genre: Love, Lost Love
    POEM:

    Loving you
    Was a dream come true.
    I gave you my heart,
And hoped we would never part.

    But yet again,
    You ceased to amaze me.
Broke up with me for good,
And said, "It just wasn't the right time."

I didn't know what to believe.
    If it was true,
    Or just make believe.
    I cried all night long.

    Looking at her pictures,
In disbelief while listening to sad songs.
This love that I held for her,
Still remains within my heart and soul.

It's been a few weeks now,
    That I still haven't slept.
    I still think about her,
    Day and night.

    The hardest part of all,
Is she says she loves another.
She came to me for guidance,
And I couldn't help but to say OK.

    She is now heart broken,
For this man will not take her.
But even more, I am heart broken,
For this man hurt the one I love.

    Poem Title: Tattoo
    Poem Genre: Darkness/Fantasy
    Poem:

    Tattoo

One day a cop at a murder scene
Uncovered a tattoo from skin so clean
One that's plain, with no other markings
    Bearing a story true

    The beautiful woman had died
Supposedly from a sharp, steel knife
Bleeding to death with blood stains on the floor
No one heard a scream, the puddles mixing with the rain

Her ice-cold, milk-white skin bruised and battered
Her faded jeans and hooded top tattered
Her dark hair and eyes were drawn by death
    Darker than permanent marker

Those eyes were open silently from witnessing a twisted dream
Her mouth crying out in a frightened scream
But no one heard her, for she didn't matter

The tattoo was uncovered on her upper back
It ran so long that it reached her hips
It whispered reminisced words from silent lips

"One day I'll lie here, dying
In the same place I was crying
    As a child, long ago

Mother dear, where have you gone?
    Father, where are you going?
And I was left alone in the snow

I had no brothers, no sisters, no father, no mother
    They all let me go
I played with a little boy who did not let me stay alone

We grew up together under the same roof
Went to the same school, were best friends
And as our lives stretched longer, I knew mine would end

One day we were running across the street
And fell asleep under a willow tree
When I woke up, he had faded
Into a huddled figure, dead on the street

Each day I serve the same fate
    Dead just as him
    Maybe alive in some way
But without him I die inside of me"

A beautiful picture was tattooed on her shoulder
    Of a woman and man
Who aged as they turned older
And faded into the river sand

    The policeman wiped his eyes
    And pulled off his hat
Held it in front of him
And paid his respects for his beloved

For on the tattoo was him
    And the woman was her
There they were, at the lake
    By a willow tree

He turned around and faded into the sand
And the lovers walked, hand in hand

Poem Title: There Must be Some Place Better
    Poem Genre: Sad poems, depression
    POEM:
    I feel so lost,
    like I don't belong
    Why aren't I loved?
    What have I done wrong?

    My body is living,
but my soul is long dead
My heart is starving for love,
    it needs to be fed.

    Life is always dark,
    as black as the night
    What will the future hold?
    Will there ever be light?

Will the sun ever come out?
    Will the birds start singing?
    Will these monsters go away,
or will they keep on living?

I need someone to answer me,
    but there's no one there
    No one to love me,
    no one to care.

    What's the point in living,
    when I don't feel real?
There must be some place better,
    where my heart can heal.
