What Do You Think Will Come of a Democratic Senate?

I think that some good will come of the democratic senate because I think that it will get our troops out of something we should have been in, in the first freaking place. The only thing that worries me is how much higher taxes will get and if we will become more of a communism. I won't lie I am a registered democrat but do not completely agree with them. I knew I should have registered as a independant.

The only way out of this mess is to vote for Doug Stanhope, who will be running for the Libertarian Party in 2008!

    VOTE DOUG!!!

"I think that it will get our troops out of something we should have been in"

    Uhhh... yeah...

The best way to judge American politics is to observe it from an external point of view. i.e: How the world perceives the way the show is run. Interestingly, about two-thirds of the world won't even notice there's been a shift in the political landscape there, simply because the most of us believe American political decisions are based on the requirements of big business rather than the requirements of the American voter.

There is quite simply no fundamental difference between voting Democrat and voting Republican. And as for the comment about communism: it's a perfectly valid political system if you take money out of the equation. But hey... we can't have a world without money to fuel our greed and ambition, right?

I'm always interested by people who say "I hate politics". What they invariably mean is "I don't understand politics" or "I'm too immature to grasp politics". I started getting interested in politics age 12, and it's fascinated me ever since. It's certainly more interesting than Celebrity Big Brother, Desperate Housewives or Extreme Trailer-Park Makeover, or whatever.

I agree with Bob for the most part....it's all about the money. At least the Democratic Senate may be able to stop Bush from doing more damage. Who knows ...whoever we elect in 2008 may actually be able to pronounce nuclear.

They are all corrupt and Reid proved it last week when he moved to protect his ass by keeping them from banning relatives from working with lobbyists. He failed to mention most of his family has high paying, cushy jobs with them. The Dems and Republicans are crooks. They are proof that you can steal more with a briefcase than with a gun. But, the dems will weaken national security and allow the battle for freedom to come to American soil. By fighting terrorists overseas, we have kept them from fighting us here.

Sadly, you cannot turn the other cheek or negotiate with them. They are like playground bullies.....you either give them your lunch money and keep giving them your lunch money, or you kick their ass and let them go pick on someone else (because they won't come back for a second ass kicking). If you think you can deal with them any other way, you are mistaken. Islam is a religion of terror. Their bible tells them to either conquer non believers or enslave them. Their is no middle road. In Europe they have refused to accept the crown and the government, telling people that go to the mosque, to use islam as their government, that the British government has no hold on them. We are at war, world wide, for our way of life. So, if your goal is appeasment, then surrender and convert, but if you choose freedom, then stand for what you believe. The only thing a bully understands is a good ass kicking and yes, sometimes people die. Sad, but true. As Patton said, 'don't fight and die for your country....make the other bastard fight and die for his country'

Sluvi, Independance was sought by fleeing Europe and coming to America....not staying in Europe and forming a counter government to that government.....small difference.

Dick Cheney? Halliburton? I am sure you can find a crook under each party label. In my opinion our country does better when ran by a democrat who has an IQ above 100.

Our country is run by crooks in both parties...hell John Murtha was caught on tape 20 years ago taking bribes during abscam. He keeps getting reelected.
