i have the same problem, which is why i havent posted a lot of my poems, i use an online thesaraus/rhyming dictionary (just google it, 1000s come up) i sometimes google, "interesting words" sometimes just finding one word can give u an idea for a poem!! hope that helped.

i read the dictionary, but the words just come to me. I know if a word exists if it sounds like... normal. If i'm not sure, then i just use it the way i feel, then look it up when i get the chance.

First what you have is a form of writer's block. One way you can get around this commen recurring words is to look up synanmys... ( I hate spelling... it's just other words that have the same meaning).

I may be off base, here, but it's a shot: Maybe you're trying to hard to write poems that you don't feel. I know I can't just sit down and have a poem appear - it needs to have some insipration. Unless all of your feelings are the same, just wait until you have something that you need to write about, then hopefully the words will come easier.
