hi this is a contest where you can enter your favourite poem. Not your highest rated poem, not the poem with the most and best comments, but the poem that you personally like the most.

WILL ONLY ACCEPT 10 POEMS SO GET IN QUICK!

the competition will close as soon as 10 poems have been entered, and I will try and judge and get the results out as soon as possible!! :)

1st place - 8 r/r/c and place on my favourites
2nd place - 6 r/r/c
3rd place - 4 r/r/c

And everyone else will recieve at least 1 r/r/c :)

RULES:
- will accept any genre of poem but try and choose a poem that has swearing and profanity kept to a minimum.
- can be a poem you wrote a long time ago or recently written, just as long as it is your personal fave :)

Peeeeeeee U!

Don't you love your own farts?
i know mine are just swell
it's fun to fart out loud
and to relax in the wonderful smell

Eggs,beans, a dead animal,
whatever the smell may be,
to me it smells like roses,
but I'm sure you won't agree

There's loud ones, silent ones, deadly ones,
all of which I personally enjoy
it's just like the happiness of a child,
when mommy buys them a new toy

Other people's farts are gross,
they don't have your personal stench,
especially when they fart in public,
for some clean air, i always clench

if you can't hear a fart,
you can surly smell the scent
it always lingers in the air
and even goes through the vents

farts are just another part of life,
that we all must accept
but sometimes people let one rip in public,
a fart they did not expect.

Title: Mother of all

Sweet, Kind, Caring, loving to all
Caretaker and best friend
Death swept its arms around her
and pulled her away.
Now that She's gone how do we go on
leave the stiches she sewed.
Some women make quilts,
She made families
She took people, individuals
and tired them together

This poem is my favorite because I wrote it for my mother when she pass away.

This one has the most meaning and emotion to it...so, it's my favorite. =] I hope you like it.

Title:Capture

Poem:
Decay swept across the lands, across the very burden of life,
Fire arose in the darkest of the nights, speaking of its strife.
Lies were kept and secrets found across this land,
Across many places, I looked down to see the world in my hands.
Such a delicate morsel to be forbidden I held,
Deep within as the storms of gods quietly quelled.
Facading, burning bridges all around my sight
Bleed for the thought of life and everyone's fight.
Held in my hands, sun shining brightly, a beauty to all,
These burning bridges stand, for they will not fall.

On the other side a precious bit of hope is lain
To taunt me of bitter lies and worthless hope that remain.
Burning so brightly, dangerously, in precious light of fire
Hope remains on life's side, I on death as my only desire.
Crawling to the fire, I lay by the remains of death,
As I take lay to my final, agonizing rest.
Yet, as I lift my head to a whistle in my mind,
The rain pours down on desolate bridges I do find;
The fire dies and hope prevails on the other side,
As burning bridges smolder, looking at me are hope and pride.
Smiling a catchy, friendly smile for the world to see,
These burning bridges died, yet they will not capture me.

These Porcelain Tears

The sun sets on her Porcelain Face,
tears roll down her cheeks in such disgrace.
For a love that was forgotten, no one really cares,
the pain she shows is too much for her to bare.

Writing her final note, no one around to see,
what she's been through, how hard life can be.
So she sits on her bed, with a pen and some paper,
waiting on her Prince Charming to come and save her.

She writes down her feelings, each and every day,
hoping her true love will come and take her pain away.
Wait as she might, her Prince Charming never shows,
writing down her feelings, but the torture never goes.

So she swallows the pills, lays the bottle by the bed,
and finishes writing her note, this is what it said,
"If my Prince Charming finds this, don't have any fear,
I will die here now with these Porcelain Tears."

Strange love

The city was dark, drowned into the silence of night,
Deep within the silver mist a white silhouette was in sight
Moving from place to place, from door to door,
Searching for something, each time more and more…

Fragile spider webs adorning windows of a broken home,
This long lost figure will now find that he’s not alone;
Outlined in cold moonbeams – her blackness was delight,
Such a beautiful creature – something worth for to fight.

He floated closer and closer, but she always ran away,
Every time she managed to escape filled him with dismay
And each time he wished he could just call out her name,
But when he opened his mouth – around silence was the same.

He chased her through the house, each time with no success,
Never could he get closer than almost touching her black dress;
He would laugh if he could, he would cry if his eyes’d let him,
He’d be happy with hearing her heartbeat but chances were slim.

After endless hours of this restless chase – she was suddenly still,
She turned around gently and reached for his hand – such a thrill,
Their fingers seemed to have touch, but neither could really feel,
She wished for his eternal company as her heart he wished to steal.

They spent minutes staring at each other without making a sound
They were anxious, but timid as if someone was around
And in one flash second she threw herself in his translucent arms,
He was gently caressing her hair – she felt safe from all harms.

The porcelain moon shone up on the blue and black velvet skies,
Two sorrowful souls were united – feelings of stomach butterflies,
A wondering white ghost for a groom and a black shadow for a bride,
Love is strange, but meant for all those who can feel it burn inside…

The One You Forgot

A simple word can break my soul
Rip me in half, no longer whole.
I'm shaking at the very thought
Of being the one you forgot.

You're everything in life to me
The reason why I want to breathe
I smile just when I think of you
And all those things you say and do.

Yet, if you don't feel the same
No one can we really blame.
It's just the way life sometimes goes
You can't escape all of its blows.

But I wish this once to be free
Of the hope we'd never be.
That's something I don't want to face.
Don't want to feel so out of place.

I've planned everything around us
Now it may not be enough.
Threads are barely holding on
And your words can break their bond.

Or you can make them tighter still
Renew my strength and my will.
Keep me believing love is real
If you return the way I feel

Please don't hurt me, but if you do
Make it gentle. Help me through.
I love you and fear that time
Will cost me my peace of mind.

I pray I didn't wait too long
To let you know my love is strong.
And without you it's merely waste
Once so sweet, now bitter taste.

So I don't know what your words will be
But I pray they are kind to me.
I hope they are filled with love
That I'm the one you're thinking of.

But I'm shaking at the very thought

Chains Unbroken

In the corner
filled with dust
not a soul
that she can trust

she sits alone
in the grey
in the fog
that blocks the day

cobwebs sway
on crumbling walls
she stuck inside them
as they fall

and they bring wind
that burn her face
as the debri
is thrown her way

the breeze is cold
on tear wet cheeks
on eyes that search
a heart that seeks

for some faith
some way to trust
to break down walls
and sweep the dust

a chance to live
some air to breathe
some love is really
all she needs

but she is locked
in real tight,
and nightmares haunt her
through the night

and in this room
with broken dreams,
ripped and torn
at the seams

are doors with dust
just left to open
hidden by
the chains unbroken
