Okkk. So I'm holding a contest. I would like love poems. Any type of love: sad, lost, desired, happy, cyber, etc.

I'm only taking the first hmm..10-15 people. We'll see how long it takes.

Rules:
1. It can be new or old; doesn't matter.
2. Must be your own work [duhh]
3. No more than 60 lines ; no shorter than 8.
4. No reserving spots.. just enter.
5. Must have some sort of title; if you haven't yet found a title for it just put ''Untitled'' or ''Not yet titled'' whichever.
6. I would appreciate if it didn't have any profanity, but if you must.. keep it to a minimum, thanks.

I almost want you to say you love me
That I am your only one
Tomorrow would only be darkness
If I didn't shine as your sun

I've nearly wished sweet words off your lips
That would heal this aching heart
I'm close to the point of asking you to say
You wish us two would never part

I've almost begged you on hands and knees
To tell me how much you care
To unite our feelings to stand strong as one
And meet in a holding stare

But those thoughts shall never leave my mouth
Because what use would it do
To hear lies spatter forth to console me
When those feelings aren't from you

Living in a dream.

As he walks in the room
My heart skips a beat
His eyes meet mine
I feel so complete

I get the strangest feeling
A tingle down my spine
Funny how i feel this
Even though he isn't mine

He sits down beside me
Gives a little smile
That twinkle in his eye
Makes it all seem worthwhile

His touch is so gentle

Whispers "How you feeling?"
I nod and say "I'm fine"

To others we look happy
I can see how it would seem
But secretly we both know

The Girl of My Dreams

for someone to love.

On who to love.

maybe more than once.
She'll care for me in every way,
And I'll pray that she will stay.

She will worry when I'm gone,
And notices how I feel.
maybe talk till the break of dawn,
nothing else so real.

I think i can wait a little more.

You Saved Me

Never thought you'd give us another try,
Just when I thought we said our last goodbye.
I thought it was too late; we were over for good,
But it seems that the feelings withstood.

My head was saying to just forget you,
But you know what they say; patient's a virtue.
My heart told me to wait, and not to let go,
So I stuck it through, through the highs and lows.

You saved me, just when I thought it was too late,
I wouldn't have you if I hadn't decided to wait.
You fixed what was broken, kept you in my heart,
Can't stop thinking about you when we're apart.

When I finally get to see you, there's a rush inside
A million times a day you go through my mind.
When I think of everyone I've met and see,
Of everyone I've met you mean the most to me.

Before you was time going by with no meaning,
Now I realize you were the one I was missing.
Wish I could just express everything I hold inside,
I'm trying to let down my guard, just know I try.

You make me feel that I'm worth something,
You raised me up; I don't feel like I'm nothing.
You fixed my heart when I thought it was gone,
And you put up with me when I can be a moron.

I know I start arguments about nothing, and I'm sorry,
I tend to over react, but I believe in you and me.
I didn't think it was really possible to feel like this,
But you took my heart with a single kiss.

Wilting
The Flower Dies
Silently
The Petals Fall

She's been broken.
She's been torn into two.

Once, the flower grew
Shades of every color-
Swirling within the petals.

Her soul blossomed,
She Was Alive.

Then the rain, the storm rose
Her delicate petals could never withstand
The pouring rain, the hail, then the fire.

She's broken down
Because of him.

He tormented, abandoned,
Left her out in the cold.
First he lied to her.
Said he'd never hurt her.

Then he pushed her,
on that Cold December night,
Took it too far.
She surrendered.

Then she crumbled..
Because of him she crumbled.

And now the flower's wilted.
No longer a beauty.
The colors have now faded.
She's gone.

The trees are shedding their rusty leaves

We stare at each other without saying a thing
It seems words are worthless as we're waiting
For your train to come and take you away
From what seems to be our last day...

We hear a whistle from afar and see smoke,
This is the end - I am about to choke,
Struggling with myself to not let emotion flow,
But I can't help it; I don't want you to go

And as you take your bags I start to cry
My lips won't move - don't want to say goodbye,
So I grab your arm and ask you to stay
We can make things work out some way...

You don't know what to do, how to respond
For you feel too the strength of our bond,
So you hold my hand and look me in the eyes
Telling me that leaving would result in your demise

So I smile in bliss and show you my ticket
All crumpled up as I kept playing with it,
Because wherever you may go I want to go with you
For I love thee so much and I see you do too.

A Picture In A Frame (Acrostic)

All the times I've seen you, my heart can't help but race,

Pain still exists, when I look at your beautiful face.
Instantly destroying all of the feelings I have for you,
Calling out your name, wishing you loved me too.
Torture still remains, but you never really cared,
Unable to go on with my life, knowing you won't be there.
Remnants of this broken heart, they will last an eternity,
Every time my eyes meet yours, I know you don't love me.

Insanity is all that remains, just wishing it would end,
Not knowing where I should start, or where to begin.

A picture in a frame, is all I have left of those days

Frozen through time, is all the beauty that it portrays
Reality starts to kicks in, and I can finally realize,
All the pain I've been through, there's no more goodbyes.
More that I realize this, the more I feel the same,
Every time that I look at her picture in a frame.

Acrostic Poetry is where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title.
