    She Only Wants To Be Held {Rondeau}

    Holding herself, another day has gone by,
    She takes her wings; she only wants to fly.
    Many tries to smile with broken frowns,
    Falling continuously to the ground;
    Her future in her heart, she must deny.

    She's not running to be by your side,
    Because there are tears finally in her eyes;
    Roses cry and nightingales sound-
    ...She only wants to be held.

    Stars gaze at a lonely sight by the sky,
    As this girl sits alone tonight to die-
    Nothing can catch what's fallen to the ground,
    She can't pick up this sadly smiling frown.
    Finally fallen, she sits tonight to cry-
    ...She only wants to be held.

    ````````````````````````````````
    A Rondeau is a French form, 15 lines long, consisting of three stanzas: a quintet, a quatrain, and a
    sestet with a rhyme scheme as follows: aabba aabR aabbaR. Lines 9 and 15 are short - a
    refrain (R) consisting of a phrase taken from line one. The other lines are longer (but all of the
    same metrical length).
    ~Shadow Chasing~
    By Melissa
    Life is a mystery
    dreams, an empty well
    my wishes are only secrets
    that I'll never reveal
    Neon stars hold many truths,
    but fiction licks the trusty air
    And I'm trying to paint black and white memories
    with crusted bristles of despair
    because all the people I believed in
    died, ran, or just walked away
    turning mere promises a lucent shade of gray
    and even with time their shadows won't fade
    Remembrance holds the inertia of loneliness,
    but reality scolds with blood
    and these lines broadcast a chaotic certainty
    that my heart just cannot ignore
    Imagine: Come Escape the Pain
    In my own little world:
    I am not lonely.
    This new place of fun and
    freedom; all the lost souls
    come to visit me here,
    in my own little world...
    In this world of no pain:
    where the abused child
    leaves a drugged mother,
    a drunk father, imagine
    a non-existent happiness
    as a home, a place to
    be loved.
    In my own little world:
    This is where the cutters
    come when the razor cuts
    an inch too deep,
    or when the pain
    is so unbearable they can
    hardly stand. They come
    to escape the death-wish
    their parents have ensued:
    "Burn in Hell, Demon Child..."
    In my own little world:
    All out-of-place victims are
    welcome: the children, the
    parents, the lesbian, the bi,
    the gay, the disturbed, the
    cutters...
    This is a place of love,
    my own little world of poetry,
    and nothing will ever change.
    The Curse of Hades
    Swooping down from His ebony throne
    An endless valley of souls crying from His feet
    Striking down, rising back again
    His only reward is His defeat
    Scorning the heavy weeping that assault his ears
    Slaying diffuses His mind
    Goodness turns away in tears
    While evil has had no greater time
    Yet malevolence gives Him no smile
    As he chokes away the breath of beings so sweet
    For He stranges another piece of Himself
    Leaving a mark, He wished he hadn't, in defeat
    But the cycle of devastation continues
    Interminably, forever at least
    And the river of spirits fattens
    While the beasts of wickedness hungrily feast
    And He must listen to the mournful sobs
    Of mortals asking why their beloved has risen
    He looks at scarlet dripping off his murderous staff
    Responding soullessly that the inevitable has been given
    Turning away from misery that has been His own demise
    Numbly, He watches bodiless spirits disperse
    Enviously he yearns to be part of the screaming dead
    Hating His immortality, His gift, His curse
    All alone she sits and stares,
    at someone who was never there.
    he had her hooked like a drug,
    feening for more of his useless love.
    she should've known behind his eyes,
    he only wanted to make her cry.
    he pushed her further and further everyday,
    until finally she had to break away.
    he only wanted to hurt her inside,
    and pushed her so far she wanted to die.
    she has no reason to be in this world,
    she knows he loves another girl.
    she sees the sleeping pills on the counter,
    she begins to cry louder and louder.
    she starts to take handfuls of pills,
    not even caring how it will feel.
    as she breathes it really hurts,
    she didnt think this was how it would work.
    she didnt think she would feel the pain,
    now she just tries to scream out his name.
    as she lays almost passed out on the floor,
    she grabs another bottle and takes some more.
    she screams out, "how much pain can i take,"
    how much more of this painful heartache."
    now as she lays completely passed out on the floor,
    the pain is gone, there is no more.
    i hope u like this one =]
    *Mirror Image*
    She looks in the mirror and doesn't recognize who's staring back.
    Her eyes have gone dark, some say they've turned black.
    Her face has changed, it's really gone pale.
    She hears what they say, but the comments have gone stale.
    She's stopped eating, she's thinner than a stick.
    Everyone she knows says she always looks sick.
    She doesn't realize her wrists are scarred.
    She can't remember cutting them up with a glass shard.
    Even she can tell her personalities gone brittle,
    She's fading away little by little.
    She looks in the mirror and realizes she's gotten really strange.
    She's looking in this mirror and realizes she's never going to change.
    *hope u like it!*
    Crying Wine
    By: David Marshall
    You're depressed, and you're drunk.
    You've had too much wine.
    You think a few more drinks will do,
    and that you'll be fine.
    You're weak, and you're dizzy,
    and you almost want to cry.
    you call her, she's busy,
    but you had to try.
    You're tired, from all the alcohol,
    and you wonder why you live.
    You stumble and fall,
    what else is there to give?
    You begin to close your eyes,
    with one last tear.
    You've had so many tries,
    but now death is near.
    She calls you back,
    but it's already over.
    She starts to worry,
    your way beyond sober.
    She knocks on your door, and knows there's trouble.
    and finds you on your bed.
    She starts to cry as she picked up a bottle,
    because she realizes that your dead.
    One of my first lovely poems :)
    ------------------------------------------
    They Keep Calling Me
    Crawling across the floor
    Your whip coiled around my neck
    Not sure what is next
    But these dreams make me a wreck
    I am a stranger to reality
    Angry voices calling my name
    Burn my bleeding ears
    Disfigured faces playing their game
    They keep calling me
    Drawing me in to their mischief
    I am a fool to myself
    Cannot tell the truth from myth
    My palms are dripping thick blood
    Runs down my wrists
    Shoves my broken face in the mud
    Begging me to stop
    Mutilated hearts turned backwards
    Bend my twisted back
    Actions made reality through words
    Tell me this is not real
    Beads of sweat spill off my forehead
    Emaciated and abused
    The scalping makes my sweat look red
    Oh God, this must be real
    Fatal Memories
    by BriBri .x. ♥
    Blurry abstract visions clouding mind
    A tragic story when combined
    Innocence, youth, childhood all lost
    At such a young age, she didn't know the cost
    Bringing up events from long ago
    So the truth, she can finally know
    Remembering times she screamed for help
    Him taking her, making her yelp
    Finding out why her life's been a mess
    One way or another, she'll make him confess
    Everyone will soon know the truth
    Of a little girl, who lost her youth
    Underneath
    Underneath my skin.
    Your sure you will find
    Lies about the answers,
    And the truth i've told.
    Deciet will be shown.
    Is there no faith anymore?
    Everything that i reveal
    You do not believe?
    Have you no secrets
    Hidden from the world,
    From the ones you love..
    Me included?
    Behind your eyes..
    The stories are told.
    Walls could be filled,
    Stacked up tall, higher, higher
    With your secret wishes, desires:
    Fantasies of love and happiness,
    Lies you have told us all,
    Your living in them now,
    Amazing how you can survive, for
    Reality has begun to fall.
    ~~~~ first you read this poem all the way through. the for the 'bonus' stanza you read the first word of each line~~~~

    These Porcelain Tears
    Bryan

    The sun sets on her Porcelain Face,
    tears roll down her cheeks in such disgrace.
    For a love that was forgotten, no one really cares,
    the pain she shows is too much for her to bare.

    Writing her final note, no one around to see,
    what she's been through, how hard life can be.
    So she sits on her bed, with a pen and some paper,
    waiting on her Prince Charming to come and save her.

    She writes down her feelings, each and every day,
    hoping her true love will come and take her pain away.
    Wait as she might, her Prince Charming never shows,
    writing down her feelings, but the torture never goes.

    So she swallows the pills, lays the bottle by the bed,
    and finishes writing her note, this is what it said,
    "If my Prince Charming finds this, don't have any fear,
    I will die here now with these Porcelain Tears."

    Xx Healing Kiss xX (For my brave nan)

    They always say life isn't fair
    And I've found out that it's true
    Cos if life had any conscience
    It wouldn't be picking on you

    You shouldn't have to go through this
    You don't deserve this pain
    You've already been through it once
    You shouldn't have to again

    I know everyone is trying their best
    To get you back to full health
    But you shouldn't be ill anyway
    You always put others before yourself

    All your life, you've been so strong
    Took all the bad times with a smile
    Yet now life's thrown its biggest hook
    Knocked you back that extra mile

    I know I've said this all before
    But you shouldn't have to go through this
    I wish I could make you well again
    With a healing hug and a kiss ©

    Erase My Life As You Erase My Pain

    Sometimes i feel like i can erase
    All the things that i learned
    All the things that i lived
    And i wish i had a pencil
    To draw my life again

    As i draw a picture
    A picture of sadness
    What colors are included in?
    What shapes you see?

    A love maybe,a heart in black
    That heart won't stop to ache
    Nothing in my childhood
    Nothing in my past
    Can erase this disappointment
    Can erase this shadow black

    Looking at my window
    All colors faded black
    Not any of my parents
    Not any of my friends
    Can make my life bearable
    Can make white that black

    Letter of silence
    by Ilinca Milosan

    In the garden of diamond roses and emerald leaves
    Where the silence is shattered by the murmuring trees,
    Where the porcelain moon shines bright on the twilight sky
    A lonesome girl holds a crumpled letter of goodbye…

    A scarlet ribbon is folded around her ebony hair
    A spider drowning within her sour tears of despair
    Her weary eyes fixed on the glass reflection of the lake
    Her peach mouth frozen – to kisses never again to partake…

    But as her mind has stranded from truth too far away
    For the words written in that letter were never read that day
    And she was never to know that it ended with “I love you”
    Instead of a wretched “Farwell” as she assumed it would do…

    In the garden of diamond roses and emerald leaves
    Where the silence is shattered by the murmuring trees,
    Where the porcelain moon shines bright on the twilight sky
    A lonesome girl holds a crumpled letter of goodbye…

    Hope you like it =)

    Undesired

    Weakened pounding... fading to silence
    Peeling walls of flesh barely stand -
    A futile shelter, an abandoned place,
    A darkened ruin in a forlorn land...

    Deceiving shape - a morbid tune
    Echoes within, louder each night;
    The master of feelings, controller of all,
    Forever dark and nevermore bright...

    Slowly each day it dies a bit more,
    Getting weaker, getting tired -
    Poisoning instigations provoked by
    A dark malicious heart - undesired...

    My Guardian Angel

    I stand here protected, as one guarded child.
    I sit alone safely, where nothing is wild.
    Never been in danger, never in harm's way.
    and all of life's challenges, waited at bay.

    i have always been happy, for I've never felt pain.
    my angel stands by me through sun snow and rain.
    she is always smiling. and a smile she receives.
    she tricks enemies away, or is it me she deceives?

    I have always been guarded, and so never in fear.
    and I stay locked up always, year after year.
    have not seen a human, for she said they are bad
    and even though i am healthy, i remain sad.

    have i been missing out, is there much more to life,
    could i someday have children and maybe a wife?
    I must see it for myself, no longer can i wait.
    i must be fragile, for fear is a human trait.

    i wanted the experience, yet she locked me in.
    i tried to run away, but she will always win.
    I'm stuck here forever, i cry through the night.
    and for the first time ever, i am feeling fright.

    so long's gone by now, i still am stuck here.
    i now cry every night, for real life is so near.
    but here i shall stay, until my final breath.
    so is she My Guardian Angel, or my Angel of Death.

    heaven or hell?

    Where do we belong?
    in the bleached sweetness of heaven
    or the dark gut wrenching pain of hell?
    God? Have you foresaken us?
    are we made by the almighty
    or do we have the devil's mark.

    destined to crouch in the dark,
    never to feel the the sun on your arms
    or the rainbows dance in the sky
    never to grow old,
    to feel neverending energy
    an older mind in a youth's body
    destined to feed on the
    sweet infatuating nectar
    of the unknowning mortal
    for all of eternity.

    churches do not stop us, the garlic
    and the stakes rendered pointless
    the sunny morning or fire can send
    our souls to whatever end.

    But to whom would we go
    if the world finally ended
    and the endless corpes on which
    we feed to live each night
    who will claim us.
    demon or dark angel
    to heaven or to burn in hell

    Blades of Immortality

    Blades of Immortality...
    Would you not want them?
    They beckon for you to come closer
    Will you follow?

    As they whisper,you yearn
    When will it be your turn
    To escape the lies and shadows
    Of haunting memories?

    To be an immortal being
    To feel chains rattle on the wall no more
    Would be better
    Than to ever die

    Blades of Immortality
    They seem so real
    But do you even care?

    As the elders of nothingness
    Ask you to take your oath
    To bask in the glory of the never-dead

    Will you swear by it?
    Take the vow?

    Reawaken your sins
    As you plunge in the knife
    Are you ready to swim in blood?

    As the elders leave the room
    And you have sworn your vow
    In come three people

    Two men
    One woman
    The men tie you to a circular stone
    You lay on it

    Drawing a breath,prepared for a new tomorrow
    One man forces a brewed drink down your throat
    The other chains you so you can't get up
    They leave the room as the woman steps up

    She says words in a different language
    You moan as the drink starts burning in your stomach
    She slits you carefully
    You feel marks all over your untainted skin

    As you open your eyes
    You see blood dripping from her knife
    She stares at you with cold,piercing eyes
    You can't make a sound

    But your blood does not pour
    She steps up to a pillar as the two men come back in
    One unties you
    The other chains your hands together

    You have a fright in your eyes
    As they force you to your knees
    The woman recites words from a pamphlet
    Then takes out a small pot

    She pulls out things from her pocket
    And sprinkles them in
    You hear a clang as she is finished
    Then she summons the two men

    They both are gruesomely killed
    In front of your very eyes
    By now you cannot stand the torture
    But you try so hard

    As soon as they are dead
    She bites each of their necks
    She pours half a cup from each body into a jug
    The rest is left to her

    She forces you to drink the jug
    You gulp,scared
    But you do what she says

    You're not ready,
    Your mind screams
    But you know what is not real
    Only hurts your dreams

    You feel blood dripping all over your face
    And see pools on the ground
    You feel her clothe you in Gothic armor
    You are draped in a black cloak with red designs

    And under that a black,shimmering short dress
    She pulls out a mirror and you look at yourself
    You have changed
    Your eyes have turned orange

    Your hair red
    She tells you that you can alter your appearances
    You nod as your eyes suddenly flash green.

    Dead Of A Heartbreak / How Can You Still Call Me Beautiful
    by ~Princess Disaster [♥]

    With yesterday’s make-up
    Smeared across her face
    She shies away
    From his loving embrace

    “What’s wrong?” he asks
    “Nothing, why?” she replies
    “I just want to know why
    Your make-up’s smeared under your eyes.”

    “Oh, it’s nothing, don’t worry.
    I’ll be alright.”
    “No really, what’s wrong?”
    What happened last night?”

    She tries hard not to break down
    Right in front of him
    Her soul is shattered again
    She tries to push the pain within

    “You know I care, please tell me.”
    “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.”
    “No you’re not, you’re not okay
    You’re feeding me a line.”

    “If I were to talk to you
    Would you really care?
    After it’s all done,
    Would you still be standing there?”

    “Oh, honey! You know I do.
    Why wouldn’t I be?
    When ever have I not been?
    It’s alright, you can tell me.”

    “I love this boy, but he doesn’t care…”
    “Are you sure about that?”
    “I’m pretty sure; he never did.”
    “Now, why would you say that?”

    “Well, he lives too far away
    He used to live near me
    And we rarely talk anymore
    It’s hard to deal with really.”

    “Who was this boys?
    Where has he gone?”
    “No, I can’t tell you
    My feelings are wrong.

    He has robbed me of my beauty
    Stole it from within
    When I stopped seeing this boy
    He took it away with him.”

    “You know, I think you’re lying
    Because you know I can tell
    That looking through your eyes
    You can see you’ve gone through hell.

    You’ve been robbed of something, yes
    But not what you speak of
    Your beauty and grace are still there
    So is your kindness and love.”

    “How can you still call me beautiful
    While I’m standing here a mess
    My face looks so horrible
    Plus, this torn and tattered dress?”

    “Baby, you shine from within
    Your beauty glows and shows
    I can see past the make-up
    To see the real eyes, lips, and nose.”

    “You’re just saying that because you have to
    Because you’re just trying to be nice
    But this is too much to deal with
    I can’t let this happen twice.”

    “Sweetie stop…I love you dearly
    You know this much is true.
    I have always been there for you
    And I really truly do.”

    As she stood there stunned
    Her knees began to shake
    As she fell down to the floor
    Her whole body began to quake

    As he bent to pick her up
    He noticed something wrong
    Her eyes were staring upwards
    Her gaze fixed just too long

    He held his dying baby
    As she slowly slipped away
    “I love you and want to marry you…
    I was going to propose Valentine’s Day.”

    Through her last moments of life
    She tried to tell him, with pain
    That he was the boy she loved so dearly
    But her efforts were in vain

    Her body limping, without a soul
    For as she slipped out of life
    Her one last dream that couldn’t come true
    Was just to be his wife

    As her love held her body
    That had once been so full
    He whispered softly in her ear
    “How could I not call you beautiful?”

    After her funeral the very next day
    The boy broke down and cried
    She was his everything in his life
    He didn’t want her to die

    So as the boy walked home
    A dove flew over his head
    As he watched it silently
    He remembered what she said

    And as the boy looked down
    To walk to his home
    He thought he felt something funny
    It’s origin, unknown

    Then he saw it shining
    Lying on the ground
    Her favorite golden necklace
    That he just had found

    He wondered how it got there
    But somehow, it led him home
    Then he finally realized
    That she had already known

    She knew he loved her dearly
    Of course she knew that was true
    But he never even told her
    “Baby, I really love you.”

    As he sat upon his couch
    The boy felt such an ache
    His friends found him the next day
    Dead of a heartbreak.

    "Abandoned Blood"

    Please don't make me
    Please let me stay
    I can't go back yet
    Just one more day?

    I begged her so often
    To keep me there
    She shut her eyes and shook her head
    As if she didn't care

    You see my sister was older
    And out on her own
    But instead of taking me in
    She left me alone

    She knew what went on there
    She knew what he did
    He did it to her too
    When she was a kid

    So I pray she'll understand
    And empathize with me
    But she only throws me back
    Instead of setting me free

    I squeeze her hand tighter
    As we walk through my door
    But I knew I was in for it
    When I saw blood on the floor

    She ran from the scene quickly
    And I screamed for her to come back
    Now I have no where to turn...
    Right then my future turned black

    That night was the worst
    He beat me like never before
    From then on I blamed her
    For all of my horror

    Seven years have gone by now
    He still beats us every night
    But I'm sixteen now
    And I won't put up with the fight

    I will run away forever
    But I'm leaving you this
    So you'll remember the happiness
    You made me miss

    Dear Sister,

    Why did you leave me
    Leave me here to die
    My life with you
    Is drowning in lies

    I didn't want to go home
    Yet you always took me back
    You are the reason
    My future turned black

    I will now leave you
    And you'll forever know
    That you caused my pain
    And made my tears flow

    .....Your abandoned blood

    *I HOPE THIS COUNTS!!*

    Never Give Up
    by ~BRiDDY~

    An ocean of heat blasts over her,
    and lingers on her for too long.
    She falls to the ground in surprise and shock,
    and immediately feels something is wrong.

    Breaking out in a sweat,
    she tries to fight this body of heat.
    But she can only struggle as she gets slowly weaker,
    and face this powerful defeat.

    Her body goes limp with exhaustion,
    and her head lolls about on her neck.
    She's drowning in a pool of her own sweat,
    but her closing eyes it won't affect.

    Her lids are slowly shutting,
    her dark lashes and brow soaking wet.
    The last thing she sees is a blurry mess,
    then she is gripped by a feeling she won't forget.

    Eventually she wakes up, in a wave of confusion,
    and she doesn't know where she is.
    Her body is sore, and her clothes stuck to her skin,
    and her damp hair is in a frizz.

    She manages to stand, with a bit of swaying,
    and she realizes her enemy's no longer there.
    The sweltering heat has gone and left her to be,
    but has left her alone in fear.

    Looking around, she only sees paths,
    there's hundreds of them all around.
    But which one should she take, where do they lead to?
    Should she wait till the right one is found?

    She chooses one at random,
    and walks up to the start.
    But something monstrously scary appears,
    and tries to stab her in the heart.

    She stops abruptly and runs back,
    her heart thumping out of her chest.
    She turns and tries another path,
    but these things won't give her a rest.

    She doesn't lose hope and keeps trying,
    how is she managing to cope?
    Finally there is only one path left,
    this path is her only hope.

    She closes her eyes and walks towards it,
    saying a silent prayer in her head.
    She keeps walking, finally opening her eyes,
    to see safety lying ahead.

    Never give up hope, even in the worst of times,
    and always keep trying your hardest.
    Because giving up on these things -
    is like giving up on yourself.
