personally, i think it's a pretty descent site but something's missing. i don't know if it's the web itself but when i see something real- it's like you know it's serious and classy and stuff like that.

i guess i don't really know how to say it but did they tell you the book's name? maybe you can search for their previous published books somewhere.

Yeah, I published a poem there too, and they said that it would get published and that I could win $5000.

with poetry,com you get put in your book. no one elses. its all a scam.

These kind of websites practise something called "vanity publishing" where authors works are selected based only partially on merit. The main motivation is that they have to buy the books that their work is included in.

I'd be very wary of any website that requires you to spend money on your own poems.
