How Do I Write A Happy Poem

if you can't, don't. Wait until you write one without forcing yourself to. Any poem written with force is not written to your full potential. Wait and a happy poem should come to you when you are ina mood for it. Usually, you don't see postees who post poems in the Dark or Sad area in the Humor area, and if you do, then they usually are second rate poems.

If you really must write something happy, write about a thing or person who makes you happy, and try to expand from there. I'm awful at happy poems.

I have a hard time with happy poems as well, but just try and and find a lot of positive happy adjectives and try and get them to rhyme

I think it depends on WHY you write mostly - I write as a form of therapy and getting the dark thoughts and feelings out. When Im happy (which is a lot of the time) I dont tend to FEEL like writing because I dont have anything inside to work out. If you really want to write happy poems I suppose it will just take work - and a lot of "trial" poems that go in the bin - before you master it.

i have the same problem i would start writing a poem nd it wont be dark but some how it just turns dark nd my life is so colourful nd i havent experienced much pain so i feel like i need to create emotions so i feel less left out because alot of my friends are very dark but i may also write dark things because of the fact that someone needs to tell every1 what happens to them :)
so if your were supposed to write a hapy poem it would come to you i dont believe in changing these things for other people its what your mind is telling you to write so let your soul flow onto the pages instead of trying to make something that was not meant to be

I agree with Mo in the sense that when you're happy there's nothing to work out...so why write? I would disagree with yellowfeverlime because pushing yourself helps you grow. I think expanding your horizons and thinking more creatively helps you grow. If all I write is angry poems and never try anything else, then that's all I'll ever be able to do. You may have a strength and it might be anger, joy, or whatever, but being diverse makes for a better poet.
