valentines day dance at school...ADVICE NEEDED

my boyfriend isnt goin to the vd dance at school and i wanted to dance with him. he said its okay to dance wtih other people and he didnt care but he seemed "sad" when he said it i dont think im goin to dance wtih anyone cuz i only want to dance with him but i dont want to have a bad time ther. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Your boyfriend is thinking of what's the best for you, but it doesn't mean that's what he wants. You even said he seemed sad when he said it. Did he tell you why he doesn't want to go? Another thing you can do is to spend your V.D. with him somewhere else.

There's a reason as to why he is reluctant to go. And the fact he's 'OK' with you dancing with others doesn't sound very boyfriend-like.

well he cant go because his family and him will be outa town for 2 days including the day of the dance.

Tell him how you feel thats all he dont want to go to the dance for a reason find out why maybe it has to do with your relationship and if he still dosent want to go then dont dance with other guys it seems to me to be a test of some sort he wants to see if you will easily give in to other guys or not so DONT be strong and just stay with your friends and on slow songs get something to drink and chillax with your girls and talk about who is dancing with who or watever

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with dancing with other people, but it honestly depends on the guy. See, I would be fine with it, but my boyfriend can be sensitive sometimes, so I wouldn't dance with any other guy. It all depends on the guy.

It's probably better if you just go and dance with your girlfriends. Sometimes it's the little things like that, that can show how much you care, and that you were thinking about him.

Who needs drama, just keep things simple. You'll still have a great time even if you don't dance with other guys.

Dancing with other people isn't cheating on your boyfriend, there's nothing wrong with it. He did say he wants you to have a good time, he is clearly thinking about you. It might make him sad that he wont be able to go with you, but I would think he would enjoy hearing about the fun time you had. Just don't rub in any specific guys or anything that would make him jealous and tell him you wished he was there. If you don't feel like dancing with another guy, then just do the group ones and hang out with your friends. Your boyfriend wants you to have a good time and is trying to tell you that he doesn't want to hold you back. Listen to him and have a good time, then share it with him when he gets back.
