so does this mean that we aren't allowed to post explicit poems anymore? what is wrong with this site, when I first joined I loved the freedom of being able to say anything I wanted now they keep changing everything its getting to confusing.. If I wasn't so hell bent on getting my next award I think I would quit.

no I'm not just writing for awards I just think that sum of my best poems were there and I'd hate to get rid of them.

Also I thought the whole idea of poetry was freedom of speech now I can't even do that? whats this site comming to.

Maybe he (Janis) took it off because people have complained before that even though there is a warning at one place, kids under 18 can still access it.

If you "lost poems" because of this, then I will say what has been said hundreds of times: Save your poetry before you post it!

For now, just don't post anything explicit. You can still write it.. just not post it.

(However, if Janis did delete that section on purpose, he should have said that he did it and why)

you know this is a bunch of bull!!

poetry is about expression of ones self and if you choose to express yourself that way then you should be able to have that opportunity. That was one good point about this site that it gave you this ability.

and if you "lost poems" click on edit and you can get to them that way and copy them and save them on your computer.

again this is a big load of bull crap!!

I think ifyou have explicit poems if they are borderline change the questionable bits and repost under another subject. If they are too explicit I don't think this site with it's majority younger audience is the place for them anyway

That's certainly your prerogative, but I wouldn't make any drastic decisions until you find out what Janis has in mind.

as Joe said when quoting Dainz, the poems are not gone... they just won't be able to be viewed for awhile.... he's probably trying to make that section more secure so only adults can view/post in it.

You can just edit out certain words.. with periods or something and then change the category. ..

Some of my explicit poems are old and i no longer know where they are written down therefore i have lost them. I think we should have been warned before it happened so we could move our poems to another section. I am a little upset about this but there is nothing i can do

Question: wasn't there a forum topic about Janis having not been to the site at all in quite a long time?

If so, do you think his plan for the Explicit section (whatever it is) is going to be carried out or do you think it will just stay deleted?
