Hi I only have made one poem so far and I was wondering if there is anything I need to add to my writing to improve please read the poem and comment back

    thx xXxaddictionxXx

All you backstabbers left be breathless
how could you stand to see the tears flown down my cheek
Sitting by myself reflects the anger
everything is fine in the normal lives

You put me through such hell of pain
Laughing and giggling you thought everything was fine
even after there was no worry
Questions never floated to your shallow brains
    leaving me breathless for reply's

Apologizing helped none except the remorse of hatred
all those beautiful pictures turning into ugly photo's of your devil face
I loved you with so much soul
that only you could keep me alive long enough to leave you scared and low.

Next time you think that everything is fine
    turn away from everything
maybe all of it is a phony set up or joke
    but you will never know?

I honestly felt as though I was reading one of the other hundred poems on this site :(

Try and be different and show more instead of straight out telling (And at times distancing yourself from the reader).

Try and avoid repetions of words such as I, you, and etc.

Think original: Even a used topic can be spuna new way.

you should try to use symbology or better describing words like crystal eyes or treasured thoughts

    Greetings,
Not sure if this will help (there are so many topics on individual topics posted elsewhere, but I believe this is the most broad and inclusive) it's quite lengthy but it covers a variety of topics and has input from many P&Q members. It is not meant to tell you how to write, but to be a place of reference/help/advice to others-a place where many of the questions put forth repeatedly in these forumns is addressed, mainly to offer suggestions on writer's block (tips/exercises to break it. Inspiration, ideas, etc.), exercises to spur creativity (whether form, style, type of poem, content, etc.-just some stuff to try when blocked or to try something different), various poetic terms/definitions, a variety of basic stuff and technical stuff, submissions and poetry markets (where/how to submit your work). So hopefully there is something here for everyone. Worth sifting through(I hope). I would also appreciate any comments/additions-whether opinions or advice (personal or technical), poetic definitions, exercises, your own personal writing habits, etc.

I'm a big fan of ambiguity. I'm a big fan of symbols as well. Use symbols in place of the events, people, things in your poem. This way you create a new and exciting world for the reader and still get the overall feeling you want (i.e. pain, joy, etc.). You can also over or under emphasize certain aspects this way because it is an invented world. It leaves a lot of room for creativity.
