Need to vent

Okay...

So why are kids having sex at such a young age?

I'm 16 and I'll admit, I'm a kid. In comparison to a healthy age of a parent.

I mean, honestly. I can't count how many topics I've seen where kids in middle school or barely in high school are pregnant!!

Let me say that again...PREGNANT!

Do people not teach that sex has consequences? Condoms don't always work. Even the pill has to have a failure rate.

I mean, someone needs to reach out to teenagers(such as myself) and tell them not to do that! I have the sense not to, but evidently many don't.

Any thoughts?

I agree with pretty much everything you said, but you can tell them all you want, it isn't going to make much of a difference. They teach sex ed, so people know the consequences, but they do it anyway. I know, because some of my friends aren't virgins, and that makes me angry at them, and scared for them, because they don't seem to understand the consequences. I KNOW they aren't ready for children (or STD's for that matter). It's not that they aren't good people, but I know they couldn't handle having a child. The only 100% gurantee is abstience. I am a firm believer in no sex before marriage (yes, I know, you don't want me to preach it), but a lot of people aren't, and I am truly worried for people who have sex before they're married, because there are all sorts of bad things that can happen to them.

You can tell people all you want, but most won't listen to you, sadly.

but thats how todays world is. you gotta get over it, and dont complain over what other people do. if you cant change how something is, why complain about it?

ShhDontMove- you also bring up very valid points. But there is a failure rate on condoms. Even if the guy is a condom genius, something can still go wrong. Nothing in sex is a sure thing not to get pregnant or impregnate someone.

And I too have no idea what having a picture of yourself on here and abstinence have in common.

I agree with everything that you said, I'm still young or maybe barely even a teen but I just believe to have sex after your married and your sure that you luv that person. Thats wat my parents say and its wat i believe

so im only 15. im a virgin still, but i mean my boyfriend talks about if often now, and yah its kinda scary, you think well maybe he wont talk to me anymore, or maybe im ready to have sex. but really honestly, i know im not ready to have it! i mean its such a HUGE thing! but some people just cant say no or something i guess, who knows!

Tiffany- If your boyfriend is 15 and pressuring you to have sex, he isn't worth your time. At 15, they're still struggling with raging hormones. As are you. Guys just don't think with their heads most of the time when they're going through all the puberty and crap. At least that's my opinion. Some guys are different. But it seems to me that if this guy is pressuring you, hes a scumbag. Sorry to tell you.

you might as well drop out of school cause youd jsut be an outcast to them...
