senior member of P&Q ??

When i logged in today there was this message on the login page:

As a senior member of P&Q you can participate in choosing the winners of weekly poetry contest. At the bottom of every recently submitted poem there will be a button that lets you cast your vote. You can vote for 3 poems each week. You can view and support poems that are favored by other senior members in contest nominations page (see right-hand side menu). Your help will be much appreciated!

I was wondering if this was one of the new features/changes made onto the site, or if i passed some mark or something and this has always been there but now i can do it too..

That's quite a good idea. I like the thought of being able to cast a vote on who i think deserves to win instead of leaving it up to a few people..

Hm, this may and may not work out. Hopefully, by the time people have 100 poems/20 people added them to their favourites, they remember that Poems-And-Quotes, has more members than any individual can know, and vote for poems that they consider good, not poems of their friends. If not, then..I hope this isn't to expose unknown poets.

Yea- we can vote for old poems. but i hope these 'senior' members will vote for newer ones. i will. =]

well it cant be the 100 poems thing. i dont have that many.. maybe its how long youve been here?ive been here for two years(almost) so maybe thats it..?

Lol. It's NOT how long you've been here, that would definitely be unfair..due to how many people here are inactive, and how many people post 10 poems a day.

Ever tried to make a club, says you need to be a senior member? Well, it says, to become a senior member you need either silver favorites award, or silver poetry award.

This isn't supposed to make everyone else look stupid, or it's not supposed to look like I'm insulting you, or anything like that. It just seems to be that thats what a senior member is.

lol the awards really do not matter, at least not to me.

However; I believe that you are still considered a senior member even without any "silver" awards... or it might just be another glitch in the system ..

By "Silver" I mean blue. The actually looking "Silver" ones, are considered Platinum.

Yeah. I just got that msg not long ago, too. It's a good memory bringer-backer. I think back to my first poems and my friend encouraging me to check out this site and make an account, and thanks to all the love and support I got (even back when my poems SUCKED ROYALLY), I kept going, and poetry became a huge elemental force in my life. THANKS ANNA! :P:P

Having a problem this week with nominating poems....allowed me to choose three last week, but this week it says I have already voted. So....my choices of Gary's and Illu"s new ones go unvoted....

I am having a problem also with nominating poems this week.......it says I have voted also.......my choices of Diana's , Illuminati's and End of Eternity's poems go unvoted also. Wonder how this week's will be picked?

I haven't tried it yet...
