Please help, 2 days till essay due, more questions!

I am still writing an essay on teenage depression, and I've basically got all I need for why people do what they do, but I need a broader variety of opinions and questions.

So here are some questions I'd like to ask:

1. In your opinion, what is teenage depression?

2. Do you believe that teenagers really can feel depression like adults can?

3. Do you know anyone who call people who are depressed names because of this?

4. Do you think it is a real issue that society needs to address more, or is it already covered a lot?

5. Any other comments you'd like to include.

Please, if anyone can respond to these ASAP I'd really appretiate. My teacher is a very tough marker, if I handed in a project worth an A, I'd most likely get a C+, I need to fill the criteria precisely.

1. I dont have an answer for this Q, except that teenage depression is exactly the same as normal depression, just caused by different reasons, or no reasons at all..

2. Yes, teenagers can feel depression like adults, if not more..

3. Not exactly but I know people who have been excluded for being 'too sad'

4. Yes, I think it needs to be addressed more. Most teenagers are embarrassed to get help, because they have built up so many walls, pretending to be happy, when they are suffering in silence. Parents don't think that their children have the right or a reason to be depressed, so they hide it and instead of being helped they turn to other ways to numb the pain, such as drugs, self-harm etc..

1. not exactly sure but: teenage depression may be (in my opinion) something that every one goes through/ has gotten through. it's the feeling of being deserted, alone, misunderstood, or a result of a low self-esteem.

2. yes, very much. teenagers are in the middle- not kids anymore, yet (sometimes) too young to be adults. they [should i say we?] aren't always addressed properly and even though adults went through this phase, it's just not the same- they don't always understand. why do you think teenagers cut, use drugs, kill themselves if not partially because of depression?

3. i don't understand the question, but i know people from this site that are despressed.

4. i didn't know much about teenage depression before i got to this site. yes, they need to address it more for the sake of those who truly need serious help but are too shy/scared to get help... and... no, because some teenagers feel intruded sometimes just when school officials offer services and other stuffs concerning depression. it's a touchy subject but we're getting there.

5. comments: i've noticed a pattern in this site. people (who i think/suspect are depressed) post sad poems in the beginning. but later on, the mood gets brighter and brighter, lesser sad poems and more miscellaneous ones (love, funny, nature etc.) . i think poetry helps out a lot and i can prove that myself. also, find out some things that may lead to depression (e.g. bullying, peer pressure, family matters)

Thanks stacks for all your help! I just finished writing the essay, and hopefully I will post it later tonight. Unfortunately I couldn't use much of the information I was given, the word limit was 400-500 words, I'm already a bit over, I would've included more if I could... but yes, I will post my essay here, I think it's good, but I could be wrong, a lot of the time my opinion changes when I reread something...

Depression...????hhhmmm......since we a born into this world, we have feelings and that is why baby cry when taken out from mommy tommy. Hei come on teenagers....?????of course got one la......

Surely i believe teenager got depression so why so many teenagers try to commit suicide or run away from home..???? Try to have some examples in your essay better......=)

other question no ideas....hehe.... but try to put some quoting from a famous writer or someone else who is famous.........
