I totally agree with you. So many people just look at the poem and flip to the next without commenting or voting...I think that's just rude..I mean I understand not having the time to comment...but voting, it's like 2 seconds! It's ridicules...It's not even nice though...yeah, so I agree with you...it happens to often =\

Yeah, I agree with that. And also When you comment you visit the site twice because it takes you back to the poem... and sometimes if I person generally doesn't like the poem, they don't want to be rude and comment. But if it bores them, they just stop reading it. I think it's annoying to have so many people visit it, but only a few vote, but it's -in the end- their choice. And we don't put poetry on this site just for responces.

i agree with you to..i have a poem on here and i've had people visit the poem and read it, they did not even leave a vote let alone a comment. It helps big time if people leave a comment for the poet, cuz than they know what the readers like or dislike..thats what i think.

I make it a habit of commenting on each poem I've read and voting on it. I think it is something we should all do. After all the poet has spent some effort to write the piece, it is the least we can do. I do not agree however with the way some leave abusive language. I've seen this done on some occassions and is not called for.

    I agree totally with Bob...

Yep. I agree with Bob too. I, myself, cannot stand to be forced to give feedback on a poem, especially if i find it cliche and there's really nothing special about it that sticks to my mind hours after i've read it.

So really, the people who don't leave comments, they're probably sparing you their condescending rant...

I agree with the original comment: If you read it, you should at least rate it. It's an annoyance and an insult to see that my poems have had 100 visits, but only four votes.

And on the subject of the low ratings, people on this site are cruel. N3NA PARA TI had allegedly copied poems and people [not naming names] went to her page at voted '1' on all of her poems multiple times. That is uncalled for.
I also got some rude comments on mine as well. I had gotten very good reviews on a poem I submitted a while back. One person [unnamed] voted '1' on my poem and left a comment along the lines of 'this poem just sucked. 1/5' and didn't give me a reason for why they felt that way about it.
Not only is it rude, but very immature. I think if there's a way to catch who does it, they should be banned or suspended just as quickly as the plagerisers.

I Agree That If Someone Looks At a Poem Whether They Liked It Or Not They Should At Least Vote Or Say Something About It...I Think Its Unfair To The Writer To See Frequent Visits To a Poem But Not Many Comments Or Votes xoxo-Nikki-xoxo

i agree with you if they read it they comment or vote it...or at least just do it to be nice eh

I don't think that people giving critique are doing it to be nice. They should be giving helpful and useful critique and their impressions as a reader. That having been said, readers should never be abusive if they do not like a particular piece, that would not be constructive at all and may be destructive.

I figure you should be honest. If it sucks, tell em it sucks, but tell em why it sucks. And if the poem or song, whatever rocks, tell em it rocks. There shouldn't be a double standard for critiques. Don't be afraid to be mean as long as you have a reason.

and what about those who accidently click on one of your poems? are they sentenced to comment on it now? i think many of you forget this is the internet, a known unknown...you take something that is so vague so seriously. if people are going to be so upset that others don't comment on their poems, then maybe they shouldn't be posting them here. rather, share them off line where they can receive a personal, tangible reaction/comment.

I think, therefore I am...I think? The Moody Blues rock your mom in the face!

Sure, not getting comments on poems--especially ones that I put a lot of effort and feeling into--can be damaging to my ego, but then again, I know I'm not going to comment on every poem I read, if I actually do read any of them. I got stuff to do. So, I don't blame y'all for not leaving comments.

I agree...it pisses me off when someone looks at my poem, but don't feel like commenting or rating....I don't really care what you say....the least you could do is say something.

I like getting feed back, but when someone doesn't comment...or rate it tells me that this poem sucks....I need to delete it...w/e
