My mom last night pushed me aroud and now I have bruises on my legs and arms. I talked to the social worker in school today and she filled out a form to report the abuse but I don't kow if what I did was the right thing. What if my mom gets even more mad at me and hits me harder? Did I do the right thing?

    I agree^^.

Not many kids out there do have the courage to report their parents.

No child should have to live with bruises on them, even one day, thats made by their parents in abuse.

I think you did the right thing!

No, she doesn't hit me often. It was the worst this time. and I went to the counsleor cuz my boyfriend wanted me to and she filled out one of those forms for the child protection services things and I don't know what they're gonna do.

    Sorry to say-

    But probably Nothing.

its true. and if they actually DO get around to doing osmehting 1)it will take probably a few years and 2) it won't be much!

My friend is constantly abused by her parents.
She called the cops on them numerous times.
They didnt believe her-With bruises and cuts.
She tried going through the school councelor.. they didn't believe her either.

    Nothing Got done.

    Stupid Losers..

"but do u love your mom? bc if u dont, then ur doing the right thing. if u do, then think about it for a while, bc ur mom could end up going to jail. important question. does ur mom hit u often?"

that doesn't have anything to do with it of course she LOVES her mum, about 99% of people on this world love their mum whether they abuse them or not. She shouldn't just sit there and take the abuse and think it's all fine because, she loves her mum.

If you love her or not, you did the right thing. now it just depends on whether they do anything right.

OFCOURSE YOU DID THE RIGHT THING! this si your moms problem not yours, she was just taking it out on you. and that's not right. I know you love your mom but if you love her so much you should get her the help she needs with her problems instead of letting the problem progress and you loosing yourself in the process.
