He's Not Really Back

I don't know. Seems like Janis is inactive again. And, it also seems, that the little short burst of activity he had is was to fix a few things, and get our hopes up. I read the post saying that he was back and all, but shouldn't that be proved by him actually posting more than just a few posts?

Regardless of the fact he may be a 'busy man' I know people on this site 30 years older than me, and still manage to get in three posts every other day.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on that.

Or, like everyone else, money is a necessary thing, and he's using this website as his pot of gold. But, whether or not he is, he should still be committed to it in a way. Correct?

For the amount of people that view this site, google adsense, would pay a fair amount of money.

I have paid attention to the fact that this website is free, but that is too his benefit. If he IS making money off of this site, I can assume that is just as much as he would make if we had to pay $5.99 a year. The amount of members would definitely drop to maybe 300-500. From what I have seen, a lot of members are young, and that $5.99 would most likely have to be on a credit card. Most of the people would generally just look for a free alternative.

Nevertheless, I still don't agree that it seems he is less than committed to this site. Free, or not, there should at least be a date everyone knows about where the site gets a monthly update. (Example: Site is updated every once a month, at a certain date) or more.

I think it is very unprofessional to just disappear, then appear to come back, only to be inactive.

The least he could do is tell us he is going to be inactive, and tell us how long.

Uh..
I don't doubt Janis isn't real..
But, people have lives.
And, better things to do than sit on a computer...
Especially grown people, eh.
Even if he is inactive, Justin..
What's it matter to you??
He does nothing to you or for you, other then keep this site up, and that's what he's doing.
As far as I'm concered, it doesn't matter if he's around or not.
The site will still be here...

Oh and it's done quite well not being ran by him in the past, other than a few overdramatic people, right?

This is HIS site. he should update is more efficiantly. More productive updates. who cares about cell phone capablity?

Speaking as a Mod, and one of many who has had to deal with some rather nasty members over the years using really badly thought out programming, I'd say Janis is in serious dereliction of duty.

He is not so busy that he can't post a 5 minute message saying how sorry he is for doing nothing about this website and it's many problems for over 6 months...and then when we do get updates, what are they? Powers for the mods to fight abusive members who prey on young girls? Updated programming and maybe half of the 100 great improvements discussed by everyone on the site a while back?

No, we get poems to your mobile phone!! How long did it take him to set that up? Ask yourselves that, and then realize he has enough time to place stupid things like that on the site.

The man is out of order. One message saying sorry and letting us know what is what, and he can't even do that.

There is no excuse, only Dainz making them for him. Get a grip, too many of you are posting about this without really understanding the issues at hand.

Ha that is funny, a world cup runner...that might, depending on how I´m feeling the day i finally meet him, be the reason he lives on.

I was not venting as someone above suggested, i do that in the Mod forums, i was, merely correcting the light hearted view of how rosey things are in here.

This site rocks as is, but it only does that and appears to most of you to o that because the Mod put in alot of effort cleaning things up.

But enough about my minor concerns...I´m in malaga right now and it´s far too sunny to be moaning..
