Dark Poem Contest!

The rules are pretty basic, you have to write a dark poem. For the first fifteen people, pick a topic to write about, there will be a few categories that are the same.

Okay, so I chose the one "Your choice"

A dark room full of unknown shadows,
broken glass lying on the floor.
There she sat all alone,
locked away behind a door.

Pain that poars through her veins,
as the tears run down her face.
Abandoned she sits in the cold,
with the wind as her only embrace.

The darkness lies around her,
and the shadows whisper near.
They talk to her in a kind voice,
"Don't worry, feel no fear."

She wish they would just go away,
leave, and never return.
Because of voices, she caused them pain,
With a heart in flames, that burn.

How she could hurt the ones she love?
The shadows say she's to blame.
"Now that you did everything wrong,
nothing will be the same."

She wants to scream, she wants to shout,
but her voice has flown away.
She raises up, and opens her mouth,
but she have no words to say.

"It is no use, you will obey,
Don't fight no more, don't fight."
The shadows come closer and closer now,
And the wind howls in the night.

"You know what you have to do,
you know it's the only way.
Do you want to live like this?
With darkness in every day?"

She wants to run, but her feet won't listen,
and they make her turn around.
She walks toward the broken window.
And looks down to the ground.

Her lips form a single word,
"No," is what she says.
The sound isn't hearable,
and all she hears is "Yes"

She feels the darkness come around her,
the tears run down her cheek.
She thought she could handle it, all alone,
but she was way to weak.

The shadows push her out the window,
and for a second, she swore she could fly.
Another word comes to her head,
the final word "Goodbye."

"Vampire Kisses"

Stopping men with a mere glance,
People call her a medieval seductress.
Unaware of her hold on men, or her power
Over them, she is tender with her kiss.

Soft embraces, tender touches,
Prying her body open with their lust!
Using her to satisfy their mortal
Obsessive fantasies of the flesh.

Vampire Kisses in the soft midnight
Vampire Kisses tempting the flesh,
Vampire Kisses seducing their prey!
Vampire Kisses take her away!

Not stopping until they are satisfied,
The one thing that keeps her together,
Vampire Kisses in the soft midnight,
The ones that tempt only her.

Negotiating with her self, her
Thoughts provoke actions, her actions provoke
Vigorous changes in her life.
The one thing that calms her are her...

Demons in the shadows
Spying in the night
Watching you with yellowed eyes
Filling you with fright

Strange utterings fall from their lips
Things you've never heard
Tongues that have long since died
Weird and random words

Daring they move closer
Green skin and blackened claws
Knawing at your conscience
Eating your meat raw

They have come to torcher you
Monsters of your mind
Figments of your imagination
Killers of another kind

Standing on the edge of death
She inhales once, her dying breath
Upon the moon, she hears the call
And in the the pitch of darkness falls.

The jackles howl, and split the night
As they regale the widow's flight
With Crimson wine upon their lips
The chase to win the demon's kiss.

Her hands are lost to those who wait
With hearts that died and souls abate
Inside the glow of Satan's moon
She takes to flee among the ruins.

A splash of blood to tend her needs
She rips the heart and sees it bleed
Into her mouth the potion pours
And once again, her body soars.

Among the shadows of the night
While dawn is breaking she takes flight
Her hunger fed, she makes her home
Inside the darkened catacombs.

Vampires!

Blood's sweet toxicity

Running through Forest at midnight,
Atmostphere black as pitch
No moon or stars out tonight
Ready for the fight for your life?

Now the prey in the hunt, he should have known
That such a soul should have be left alone.
Smell sickly sweet that odor? Lying on your breath?
Thats the tragic scent of forbidden love's death.

Verboten love's tantalizing kiss.
Has left you in a troublous abyss.
Protection is now what you miss.
All from a simple, yet deadly kiss.

Vampyric blood flows through your soul
Do not fight it, 'tis what makes you whole
One which thrives in the night,
Should not try, to be one of the light.

Foolish, desperate Vampyric child,
How asinine, Darling you have been.
Pretending to be a normal human,
When in fact you are an immortal being.

Now you've let go of your insecurities,
and realized humans are simply impurities
So from the thrill of the chase feel true felicity
and taste the kiss of blood's sweet toxicity

A Haunting

As I split the curtain,
As light spills in,
As my gut renches,
As I'm sickened by sin,

A girl in satin,
A man in black,
One dark alley,
One last track,

The children are singing,
Singing for the end,
Of the torture in a wound,
No angel was to send,

The burden of desire,
A puncture in the heart,
Hell breakin' loose,
And we've fallen apart,

Daddy has brutal hands,
It hurts when I speak,
Mummy beats with voice,
As my tears begin to leak,

The haunting has begun,
It lurks behind the door,
I'll look from under curtain,
But I'm not ready for what's in store.

At first i thought that ^ was the results. o.o

Okay! So the judging is in! Bob Shank posted after I said the contest ended, but I read his poem, and when I finished it I was left in awe. So, his poem was added to the judging. A group of my friends and I all judged these, and here are the winners.

1st place – Bob Shank with Delivered Unto Death
2nd place – Twisted Heart with Pitch
3rd place – Wings of Flames with A Haunting

If you entered the contest, I will try to comment one of your poems. Thank you all for entering the contest! It was very hard to judge! All the poems were great.
