Actually that's not libido. Mehwell. Having written poetry from both sides of sexuality - that is, having not experienced it and having experienced it, I can say that my poetry, particularly my love poetry has changed muchly. It's certainly more textural, detailed, realistic and arousing. |

Yeah, I think the subject matter might tend to change - especially in love poems, and Nuovo describes - when you're actually IN a physical romantic relationship. As far as style goes... hm. I think for me, the energy that gets put into sexuality is akin to the energy that I feel with other things. Not that I 'sexually' love nature or the other things I write about, but there's the same sort of passionate intensity that I think can be found in many situations, sexual or otherwise. Kind of an interesting topic to think about. |
