Teardrops on my guitar

With a pick in my hand,
A guitar on my knee,
I strum the strings,
And play a sad melody,

The story tells of a boy,
With no one to hold,
When the lights go out,
And the nights get cold,

Thinking out my past,
My emotions run deep,
Childhood memories strike a chord,
Making me want to weep,

Something about this tune,
Is so realistically bizarre,
As I strum the final notes,
A teardrop falls on my guitar

Neglected

But not what I desire
Friends is fine for friends
Can we take it a step higher?

You can make me laugh, always.
I smile at the end of every phone call.

So why do we keep hitting walls?
