I just want to know why you write poetry. I write it to release anger, emotions, or for the comments and ratings. They make me feel good and inspires me to write better. |

I don`t understand why people don`t stick to what the thread ask. I write poetry for a lot of different reasons,To express what I`m feeling inside,to share feelings about different subjects with anyone who wants to read them, sometimes if I`m sad its a way to vent, like talking to an invisible friend. Its a great outlet. |

People don't stick to what the thread want's because (my opinion) they say something that other people have to say something about and then it turns into a argument. But to answer Deana, that is one of the reasons I write too. I'm starting a new thread though called Let's Talk, feel free to come join that thread (I'll still be viewing and posting on this thread. |

I write poetry to express myself when I feel I am unheard. |

I agree, that's one of the things I also do. I try to try new forms of poetry, but some have bad results, but I try to improve on them. Recently I updated all my poems and ever since I've been getting better responses and ratings. For example my Returning to the Fire poem has gone for 4.8 to 4.9 the poem is the only one that isn't a 5.0 and even though 1.0 added isn't much, it is a better rating and proves how improving my writing helps. |

I write poetry because its the one way to relase anger and frustration. Its my way of showing the world the true me without showing them my soul or the reasons behind my anger |

I write because I love it and it helps me express what I am not able to do under any circumstance. I also feel its a better relase for my emotions that like a lot of other things. |

I write as a way to vent, its why the majority of my poems are sad and depressing. They see me at my worst. Its kind of funny because im not really that sad and depressed of a person...i dont think...*sigh* well you'd have to read all my like 100 poems to understand it really lol but in the end everytime i tried to write a happy or lovey-like poem it just didnt work out *shrugs* im not sure why but thank god for poetry ^_^ |
