How Come...

People leave comments saying "amazing 5/5" and they don't bother voting? It's really frustrating because, I appreciate their comment and all, but the votes are what count.

they just want you to see them and vote their poems because they are selfish.

The voting system is stupid. And they don't count towards anything. Sure, they may or may not encourage an individual to read a poem, but think about it. They actually don't mean anything. At all. What people have to say is the significant bit; to be a good writer, you need to know what the people (being the majority on this site) find most intriguing. If you write for yourself, however, that may not be the case.

Votes mean nada, well perhaps have some meaning, but these are not a true indicator of the poem. It is detailed comments-constructive criticism (not just 'I like this' or 'I don't like this' but more in depth commenting) that are much more beneficial to the author and the poem.
