Self rating??

Hi, i've noticed that you're able to Rate yourself...
Why is that? Isnt it a Tiny bit unfair?

No, if you're stupid enough to rate your own poems then you are stupid enough to imply competition of your rubbish poems with other rubbish poems via meaningless ratings, by suggesting the word 'unfair'.

Don't rate your poems. It's just a known fact.
Unless you are living in a fuzzy dream, then you will want to know what people think of your poems and not what you feel about your poem.
Fixing that problem would only prove a hassle to other things that REALLY need to be fixed.
If you ignore the possibility of self-voting, it's almost as if you can't even do it.

When I take the time to think about it, I do give myself '5's. Encourages more people to read the poem, when they see the magic 5/5. Woot!

If I were to rate my own poems, my average would be vey low. I think that my poems suck...

Heh, I admit. I have self rated one of my poems. I have the shadow of guilt! Ahh! i don't think self rating is bad, but just don't simply give yourself a 5 on them all because you want a high average.

Rating yourself shouldn't be something that is done with a little check box on a comp. any real writer does that in their head constantly. i can't write without it-don't know who could!

Evertime somebody makes a new poem they usually vote on themselves. You can also comment on yourself and favorite yourself for some reason O_o

Commenting myself... I've done that before. If I want to mention something about the poem that I want the readers to know about when commenting, I put it in comments. I favorited myself so that I can easily see my profile, rather than enter a poem and click my name.

Theres nothing to be ashamed of by rating yourself i dont do it but if ppl do want to to get more ppl to come and see it then yes rate your self
