Why do parents always get in the way?

My dad wont let me see this guy I really like because of his age and what he has done in the past. He has done so horrible things but that was awhile ago. My dad said if I ever was to get caught talking to him or seen with him he would kill him, and I already had sex with him and my dad is going to find out pretty soon and I am afraid of what will happen to the guy I really like.

Well the age diffrence is one year. My dad hasn't even met the guy. I know I told my dad I agree with him.

You're father is not getting in the way of anything. He is simply asking you to OPEN your eyes and be watchful of what you're doing and who with. He's doing what a good father should, don't try and stop him through disobedience. It will get you no where. Try not hearing what your dads trying to tell you. In fact, LISTEN to his words.

Your parents don't like this guy and the situation for a reason. Try to discover this reason. After considering, ask yourself if your parents are actually wrong. If so, I'm sure you can argue such unfair judgement reasonably. Your parents want what is best for you, and YOU should want what is best for you as well. Step out of the box and take a look.
