    How is happiness over-rated? It seems to me that anyone who doesn't consider happiness as a worthy goal is beyond crazy, quite out of touch with life.

    what i want happiness to mean to me is that i am seriously content with myself and who i am. that i don't have major insecurities (i no everyone has some) and that my life is continuely moving forward yet i'm not scared where it's taking me.

    the happiness i have at the moment is what ^^ mentioned first. happiness that has been achieved through the attainment of things. this is only semi permanent and keeps me going for a while.

    true and pure happiness goes way deeper than that and very few actually achieve it.

    Freedom From The Known by Krishnamurti

    It's a short, easy read pertaining to philosophy. Quite insightful. I think you'd benefit from Krishnamurti's ideas. You seem to contain parallel thoughts.
